Hold on, I don't think we should start yet. I think we need to discuss some other issues. Do we want this to be completely a Nation States based thing? I would like to see this take place mostly on the forum, not just voting on Nation States stuff.

Does anyone feel qualified to simulate an economy?

I'd prefer for it to be on NationStates as it's good at simulating economies. I agree that voting on NS stuff is a bit limited though. Perhaps we could pass things outside of NationStates?

I would absolutely agree. I feel like NationStates is too limited.

A) We can do whatever we want. I would be very interested in how the government would be built in the first place. Would it stay completely democratic? Would we want to form some sort of executive authority? Would we form a bicameral house?

B) We can vote on gun rights, gay marriage, education, military, etc.

I think we should get the basics down. Site to use for simulation, how/where should we propose laws, type of government, name of nation, etc...

Prado, really as far as you want, though we really need to figure out the starting rules first.

Vashta, that is part of the fun though! We can all vote on what type of government.

Site for simulation: NationStates is my pick, but it should be used in conjunction with this site. I'd be willing to make a new nation for either one.
In regards to proposals: Any time an issue is brought up on the complementary site, it is taken to a vote. Anyone on this site participating in the activity may propose a resolution or legislation that is to be taken to a vote (though there may come a process to it, as we become more developed).
Name: I kind of like webDipia, but the Dip Republic sounds a bit better.
Type: I feel like this should be flexible, but we should start off as a more democratic community.
Participation: We should sign up to start the community now, and either let people join as the experiment goes on or we vote on entrances to the nation as a regular proposal.
Parties: If we don't make them official now, they will be formed eventually, so let's just establish political parties here and now. The inner structures of the parties should be figured out as we go
Elections: I don't actually know how to get that to work, but having them for an executive (and possibly some legislative ones) position sounds good to me.

And by "make a new nation" I kinda meant for myself as a testing ground.

Is foreign policy going to be a thing? I was thinking we could also debate current world issues and how to intervene that way.

NationStates doesn't have foreign policy really, Project Terra does.

I think parties will be inevitable, and interesting.

Also, I would like to reiterate that this is not a Dip game, so feel free to communicate via PM! I am sure coalitions will arise.

Elections will not be necessary at first, as each member is an "elected" representative, until/if we restructure the government.

Foreign policy, I would love to see it. The GM would have to be as realistic as possible and very involved.

I'm currently trying to figure out Project Terra, but I already like it more than Nation States.
