A few weeks back the mods declared that threads like this were unacceptable. I have sent an email requesting this thread be locked and that emac be properly punished for violating an established rule.

Emac, (userID=40942), comments that either threaten someone or translate into someones personal life (like calling someones brother a bitch) just aren't acceptable. Please refrain from making comments that break these guidelines, consider this as falling under common sense.

While I do not support the actions committed by the maker of this thread (and the general consensus is a negative view on the actions taken by Emac), I support Emacs freedom of speech.

In almost every situation that is the case. The only comment that is unacceptable is the one regarding Draugnar's family. Personal attacks are fine per Kestas, but the line is drawn at actual threats or comments about someones personal life. This is a gaming site, and there's just no situation that someone should be have to be concerned that anyone on the site would consider taking real life action against another member. I'm sure you recall Oli taking similar action when a thread got out of hand on vDiplomacy.com recently. Any additional comments can be directed to [email protected] for a review by another admin or Kestas.
