The fact is that we've never had anyone promise pizza or money conditional on their alignment and be lying. You and Glen A both went from scumreads to townreads for me in a second because of it this game whether you were serious or not, and the idea that that's not a problem is complete and utter bullshit.

We have 'in game' characters, and 'out of game' characters. And while the definitions of each might blur, whenever the two are in danger of merging, we need to self-police. This is why I resigned this game... my out of game character was overwhelming my ability to be in game. The pizza thing, it seems to me, leverages the in game character claims on out of game character. While I was continuing to read the game, I read BB's pizza emotional words, and they helped persuade me that in game he was sincere. I would prefer us to 'self-police' rather than make a rule... but the fact that we continue to argue about this makes me acknowledge that a rule would be valuable. Specific applications of the rule would be in the hands of the All Powerful Mafia Gods...
