Awake and caught up. I'm leaning slight town on snowy now, his response to suspicion seems pretty town-genuine to me thus far. Going to join him and ##VOTE Vash. He's made sporadic very small chime-ins that strike me as trying to look somewhat active while hiding any real thoughts/intentions.

What's this about a usual strategy?

y2k - Have you played with Vash before? If so, how do you normally characterize his D1 behavior?

It's been a while since I've played at all, but I recall Vash being very outspoken and clear on thoughts and process and not so cryptic. I don't recall playing with him when he's scum.

You just described it, pretty much. He anchors, makes a few posts, tries to look present, but contributes little until either (a) he's dragged into participating, or (b) he survives until about D5 and suddenly wakes up.

Interesting turn of events.

There are a number of players still lurking, but I think most egregious among their numbers is Ezio. While I try not to bring out of game information into mafia too much I happen to know that he has had an overabundance of free time to participate. So why hasn't he?

HR, MF and Cerry et al needs to be heard more from. While lynching Vash is a worthy pursuit of any given day (including today), it doesn't particularly advance our understanding of the game moving forward.

To be fair to Ezio his one contribution was quite witty.

But yes, I'd like to see him participate a little more.

I would also encourage Hellenic Riot and DemonOverlord to join us since I notice them posting elsewhere on the forum. They are clearly around.

@Tom I sort of mentioned my feelings on snowy earlier in passing (that I didn't like him, but was waiting on it), but I'm happy to expand. Snowy is someone whose play generally like (and follow the lead of on many occasions), so it could be that his shift to what I find to be distasteful play this game is why I don't like it. However, I think ghug had a point earlier, and snowy should realize his arguments of Prado aren't going anywhere and talk to the other people voting him, but he hasn't (or at least not to the extent he's engaged Prado. This seems, to me, indicative that maybe he does have outside reason to believe his wagon will disappear, and ghug's already setting up a departure from it and jamie already left.

That's what I don't like, and here's why I won't vote him (today). Snowy often gets NK'd earlier for his precision of thought and oftentimes clear towniness, so waiting a day or two to see if mafia clears him up can be a good idea. Additionally, someone pointed out Snowy was acting like the new BB, and I think there could be some truth in that, since snowy (iirc) believes BB's shenanigans were ultimately pro-town. Another reason I'd prefer not to vote him D1 is that this sort of experimental play (if that's what it is) is likely to melt away into normal snowy as the game goes on and more information is available (if it is indeed an act and not a poor scum showing), so if he hasn't changed from D2 forward, I'll be inclined to believe he's just slipping up as scum.

@Snowy - Now that Vash got three votes without any plausible justification, do you still think he is a good policy lynch?

@Jamiet - Pressure votes are valid, I don't think it will be effective with Vash, but ok, it's your choice. But you think three votes are just pressure votes? Also, why not pressure other players?

Balduran - The first part of your post interests me in that you are searching for those who may hold the belief that their wagon will disappear because of help from scummates. However, don't you think its possible snowy thought his wagon may disappear just because it is so early in the day?

Your second part about seeing if scum will NK snowy is really WIFOMing, and I don't its smart to think like that. Basically you are arguing that strong players shouldn't be lynch targets because they are likely NK targets. There are many strong players in this game who could be fearkill targets, so I don't think that is sound reasoning.

So you've established that you are suspicious of snowy, but unwilling to vote him. Is there someone you are suspicious of and willing to vote for currently?

Rdrivera I can only vote for one player at a time. I know that two of the votes on Vashta are pressure votes.

What do you think of Vashta so far?

@rdrivera it's very possible I'm not recalling Vash in past games accurately. It still stands that his cryptic messages thus far this game to appear participatory and give zero actual thoughts is scummy to me and I feel justified in voting for him.

I'm quite glad I slept that off before I threw a few too many insults at ghug. I suppose it was a little too easy to read ghug as scum considering he's an asshole whether or not he's playing Mafia, and the world revolves around him and how great he is and how awful everyone else is in comparison. He Just Might Be God.

I still want a better explanation for the snowy vote, considering he now believes snowy's intentions to be legitimate but his vote is still there. And I still don't like how ready snowy was to come to his aid considering his reason for saying ghug was town was entirely based in meta.
