@brainbomb so you say, but so far no one else is corroborating your own claims to MVP and my own assessment of your play is that it's terrible whether mafia or town, since people are quickly jumping to lynch you based on your actions, and it's not as if anyone is being convinced by your reads anyway. I also observe that while you're happy to jump on others you rarely respond to queries directed to you.

In terms of number of games I'm probably the senior player now. In terms of game time on the pitch, i'm still a newbie and I think snowy has posted more than me already. (why is this even being responded to? how does saying this help town?)

To sum it up I think he's trying to pretend to be contributing to town while leading town astray, and doing it terribly.

It should be mentioned that he instantly voted MoscowFleet for lurking not even an hour into the game, and that Floodgates also hopped on that bandwagon for no good reason.

I've said this before. If you talk a lot you slip a lot, and nobody's a perfect player. The "trick" only works in the early stages of the game, and I'm speaking specifically about day 1 lynches here.

Right now, if we lynch a prolific poster and mafia perhaps offs another we're left in a situation where the dozen people with not even 300 words or even hasn't even posted yet is forced to judge between themselves with essentially no prior information, especially if town gets lynched day 1 (because then you can't even play a guessing game with bussed vs. not bussed).

This is the clarification to my day 1 lynch policy on lurkers. If you see a flaw in my logic feel free to point it out, but I believe it to be sound judgment (or else I wouldn't be pushing it this hard).

To be fair, I don't think killing heavy contributors is a sound strat D1, we need at least a small bit of justification to kill them, and in general those who contribute heavily bring others into the game, force out lurkers and can consistently apply pressure. I think lynching lurkers is a good policy D1 as it forces people out into the light where they can be put under scrutiny.
