We're looking at a 14-player pool playing 4 games, (non-anon, full press) starting with two week intervals. (this being the A* or Premier league)

A second pool of the next 14-players would form the A league.

Then the B league would consist of 3 pools of 7 players each. Eventually the C league would consist of 4 pools, again 7 players per pool.

Start date 1st Sept.

lows bets. Players can chose to increase the bet by mutual consent. The basic bet is 5 . The Tournament Director will find substitutes where possible to replace any CDs.

Just how many of these leagues are there? What is the difference between them?

The number depends on the number of interested players.

Usually the previous season's player continue in the league they were playing in unless promoted or demoted. The last season however was Winter 2011 (Finished: 23 Jun 2011) the aim is to have two season per year but we've been lacking an organisers for the past year - myself and a few others have suggested we would take over but thus far have not.

Depending on interest I will be assigning players based on Previous league placing and Ghost Rating.

@Sarg, this is the same one as the Draug one, the yebellz one got canceled due to lack of interest. I hadn't heard about fk's.

Far as i know there is only one... Draug is among the people who said they'd run a league, but no in principle it shouldn't matter if we both run leagues and you play in both of them. We're all about the free market here on webdip, kestas hasn't really made any rules apart from obey whatever custom rules you choose to play under...

But the old league (the php-league that was) was run by theghostmaker and pater Alderain. I have Alderain's records and edit powers over the webpage.

I also plan to adopt to suggestions of a variety of ex-top players who had issue with the Format of the old premier league. (this essentially throws the P and A league together into a new A* league of 14 and turns the old B games into a single 14 player pool calling itself the new A league, while finally leaving the rest of the divisions as they were with a new letter assignment... Anyone who was ranked in the previosly will retain their spot and anyone who wants to join will be ranked according to GR and then slotted in depending on the GR of the previous players (so you need a GR higher than ALL the B league player to start off i the A leagues, otherwise B leaguers are promoted to A - highest GR first - until all the A league spots are full or you are the highest rated option left...

Or maybe we can all draw straws and play rock, paper, scissors (but no meta-gaming, so you're not allowed know what shape they threw last...)

Nah, the best alternative is to make all leagues level (maybe based on geographic region or time/date you joined the site, or posts per day on the forum) and then the top 14 (or two from each league, and that's different) get assigned to the A* league of Spring 2013... :) and so on... What could possibly go wrong?

Count me in.Even if I start at bottom.Most players who join these leagues usually are loyal so not many CDs.Just may take forever to complete or move up.

fk's was mine as well. We were co-directing it. But orathaic can taqke it over. And count me in as long as it stays non-anon.

Oh, and I also want my promotion. I won the last Leagues B-league so would have been promoted to A league which is now in the new 14 player premiere league.
