Guys, I was making a point that *you* are responsible for contacting the mods. We don't allow multiple accounts for a good reason. You can't just go and reset your stats that way. It's against the site's rules.

That's mutli-accounting in a very, very strict interpretation, but come on... He's not *using* the other account, so it's not like he's somehow attempting to gain an advantage.

He got an advatage by eliminating all of his losses (survives and eliminations) and any resigns he may have had.

And the mods have said this is against the rules. Period. Whether you use the account or not matters not. The mods have made it clear that you shoudl let them know so they can ban one of the accoutns and that the practice of making a second account for any reason at all is against the turles.

As far as the forgotten password goes, there is a link to have it emailed to you. So that's a lame ass excuse.

And I will reiterate to everyone involved... An accusation may or may not be true and the party in question may or may not be guilty. This is pointing out an admission of guilt by the person in question. There is no accusation. He *is* a multi and has said so himself.

I still don't see anything wrong with it considering he has never played with his old account. Perhaps he isn't trying to purposefully "reset" his score. He is probably genuine about it. That being said, I do agree that he should be mailed the old password and continue with his old profile. But before going on a witch hunt, maybe you should have pm'd him. Regardless what you think, you may have affected his chance to play with well known and well regarded players here on this site by tainting his name....just a thought :)

I agree that his 13 resigns shouldn't stand. the whole reason why people multi account is to gain an advantage in the game. His new account isn't being played with his new one. yeah he has one shitty record. But he was open and honest. He has most likely changed. Remember, I agree with you. but defacing another player doesn't seem necessary in my book. Especially when you start a special thread featuring the Crucifixion of a diplomacy player trying to get his life right :P. I'm not trying to be an ass here or anything draug, honest I am not. Well, the rule stands. You live with your record. There is no wiping the slate clean here. I'd love to wipe off all those losses I got way long ago before I ever got my first win. I probably had 10 losses before I even got my first draw. But there are there for the world to see.

I wish a mod would just chime in here. It has come up in the past. Multi-accounts, even if they don't play together, are not allowed.

What I did was emailed the mods, after I had made it and discovered oops someone will scream multi, then after I emailed them didn't log back on. What sucks is to make the new on I used a fake email address because my real is on the old account and I'm not making a new one just for this game >.<

I agree with Draugnar, he had "67" completed games. That's a lot of freaking games to switch accounts on.

And you handled it correctly. This kid (and yes, he is a kid, he revealed that under the other account long ago) is seriously trying to clear his record.
