Question: Does it take into account defeats when the game has yet to finish? For example, I have a game where I was the first one defeated (in Oct.) but the game is still ongoing. Is that counted in these rankings or the next set?

Another question: The explanation of "result" for PPSC is a basic percentage of centers available. Does the system take into account whether the game was actually won? I'm more proud of my 1-center draw than I am of my 8-center survive, for example.

But... it seems like if it had been PPSC then, unless your "expected result" is defeat, a 1-center power who manages to turn that one center into part of the draw is going to lose rating for it, which doesn't necessarily seem right.

All draws count the same. A 17 SC draw is worth no more than a 1 SC draw. Nor should it be.

Tom: figlesquidge is correct - the result of a game is not processed for GR purposes until the game has come to an end.

well, I must confess I'm surprised to find myself as highly ranked as I am... but I think I'm staring a few eliminations in the face so by December it should be much more realistic ;)

I am taking a (hopefully) long hiatus from the game in the near future - but I have to say I have very much appreciated playing with so many of you... But most important, I want to thank ghost from the bottom of my heart and the top of my head for his astounding amount of work to keep this site one of the absolute best communities to play the game in. webdip would not be the same without you. Behind kestas, you are the most important individual in this community - thank you.

If I had the continuity I would. The current reason I can't is that I'm going away for a few days at the end of the month, so won't have access then. Also, I've got to say I'm not sure I have the time for them - especially given how long I spend moderating this place!

Well, I really want to thanks Ghost for his effort on this ranking, it´s a hard work and a really well done one.
Also want to thanks Kestas and the other mods (Figle in special) to help us to have a such great moments playing on this site.
About the ratings, I always said that I don´t play for ratings or points, just for the fun, but it is always an honor to be in the top 20 for some months with such great players around.

@Draugnar. I am on a hiatus. Had I been playing, I would have stayed above you and that miserable Greek Riot Dog. ;-)

as usual, the Greek Riot Dog distorts the truth. By my unofficial count, he and I have played the grand sum of five games.
1) we both survived, I had 11 centres, yhellalt had a measly 2. that was my VERY first game. Not bad for a Noob. And you totally lost it, to boot. What fun that was.
2) you won w/18 centres and I survived with 13. That is your sole victory over me.
3) you LOST, and I drew. I Lepantoed your pasty Greek butt. I consider that to be a victory over you.
4) we both survived, you had 4 centres, I had 3
5) in our most recent game, you drew, and I was defeated.

Not exactly an overwhelming verdict in either direction.

By my counts, that means hellalt has a win over you and you have none over him. You both drew once where the other was defeated and you had two survives together. Seems hellalt was more accurate than you. That is not an equal rating, that is hellalt beating you outright and you never actually beating him.

Honestly, I don't deserve the 77th spot either. I got an easy win against a bunch of noobs plus Mafialligator and President Eden. That plus some draws in some respectable games go tme up there. But I'm barely survivng in a couple of others right now. Had one of them ended already, I'd probably be outside the top 100 right now.
