Many Questions

1. Their programming is good enough - why does it force us to wait until Italy disbands all its armies - since they have no SCs, why doesn't the program automatically disband all of them? 2. Is it legal to convoy an army when the fleet is on land? 3. In "Winner take all", if it is a drawn game, do all players split the pot equally or proportionally based on SC or some other factor 4. In non-winner take all, do the survivors split the pot proportionally based on SC's?

Been enjoying the Michigan economy and my unenjoyment bennies for about 3 months now. My cousin - CAD designer - just celebrated his 1 year anniversary!

I think we should raise taxes on the employers, don't you? That might spur some job growth, huh?

Being laid off essentially means getting fired, but not for cause. Fired is you did something wrong. Laid off generally means bad economic times and having to reduce work force to deal with it. The axe has started swinging and I'm still here, it should all be done within 2 hours or so.

Maybe hanging around a Diplomacy board isn't the best thing to be doing today :P

@Ursa: Another term for 'laid off' is 'made redundant'. Does that help?

krellin, you talk about Michigan, you should see California- the Michigan of the West in terms of employment busts. I've been appling and going and talking all up and down the collection of cities/towns where I live... for the last couple years.

19- and still nothing (though I'm hopeful that'll change soon...)

Hmmm.... I am still here.
There was about 15% reduction, but NO ONE from my unit. Had there been one from my unit, it probably would have been me. (I have survived lots of layoffs before in a few different companies - I am NOT one of those who always thinks its me. This was the first time.

But I am still here. :)

pissed off

Playing a gunboat game and working with someone and then they miss a few turns and then come back and stab you for one turn completely ruining your fuckin' strategy and then they cd again.. and an enemy you had nearly crushed comes out and controls the game, fuckin cunts..
can't describe it better cos it is still ongoing
