I think, Ghostmaker, what you need here is something like a permanent "SITE RULES" notice which would appear as the first thread on the forum. It would not have to be bumped, but would just always default to being the first thread, and would not, in fact, be a normal thread that others could reply to, but just a list of rules (with perhaps some explanation and indication of penalties. Having it appear at the top of the forum would mean newbies would be likely to notice it.

And while we're on the whole forum rules thing: Could we also put on there that you don't need to make more than one thread for a given live game?

Perhaps for newbies an explanation of the rules and how to report cheaters should automatically be where they're redirected too from the confirmation email?

Maybe include the notice at the bottom of the game pages? Above all the site info and credits? Just a nice little regular reminder.

This might be too difficult/time-consuming, but what if you had a "view/post a moderator report" link at the bottom of each game page (instead of just a notice of the rule as Stukus suggested). The link could jump you right to the rules or the email page or whatever. Just a thought.

im not posting an accusation but i got an intereting message in the game called, " look a distraction- world style" it was in the global chat box and im not sure how to interpret it. can i get a pm with a meaning if you have the time?

its the post by the game master, my times are slightly off,but it shows 6:15 CMT which is about 12:15 or 11:15

Are there any stats on the total number of banned accounts? It'd probably be an interesting figure.

Its 543 at the moment. Since 22 Jul 2010 (257 days ago), 204 accounts have been banned.

I wonder how many of those accounts have been the same person? There's probably some serious repeat offenders, I'd guess.

How back-logged are the cheating accusations? Is it caused by a lack of mods, or the difficulty in analyzing the data?

Last month we were lacking mods, but the email accusations are now up to date except for a couple of difficult cases.

The reports are not because the system is still quite cumbersome to use.
