This is baffling - it's not innuendo and inference, it's video evidence. In a courtroom, one would call this a slam-dunk case. In fact, it seems like you'd move for summary judgment based on the evidence. Geez, politics will make people think deranged things, huh? the 'video evidence' he refers to is two people going to an acorn office somewhere and asking for advice on how to pimp out a 13 year old or something...

the part he wont tell you is that they were turned away at 8 ACORN affiliated offices, until they finally found one with an idiot or two who gave them advice. ACORN fired those individuals.

ACORN is a HUGE organization with hundreds of affiliates across the many states... and its not a fortune 500 corporation with a budget for internal security etc... so yeah, you'll find idiots here and there who try to forge micky mous'e signature to perpetuate a voter REGISTRATION fraud... or some crap like this... but its rare cases that make up less than .5% of all voter registrations that ACORN collected.

this is another such case... a few idiots are easy to find... hell, if you'd come out to DC on 9-12 you'd have found about 50 to 60 thousand of them in one place.



you know what really surprises me... if Acosmist and his ilk spent one tenth the amount of time they spend disparaging an organization dedicated to poor people to go after the multi-billion dollar corporations that bilked this country and its taxpayers out of 2 trillion dollars over the past 12 months... then maybe, just maybe we'd have some regulation in place by now worth a sh*t.

CNN is kind of stupid. I agree with Babak that ACORN is not an organization with internal defenses like that. The only reason a fucked up video like that is new that Fox is spending countless media hours on is because President Obama has some ties to the organization, and anything that can connect evil to Obama gets Billo off.

There is something to be said for responsible spending and defense, but I've see the right get so bogged down catering to old racists and the religious right that I just can't get behind that. Maybe I'm just letting, being a feminist, atheist, unitarian universalist, and gay rights supporter that lives in the "bible belt" in Mississippi bias me.

CNN does try, but they can be sort of sensationalist and pro america given that they have to stay alive and they're on all day.

BBC is the TV news I trust, The Economist in print, and NPR on the radio. Though NPR is admittedly left wing the others are staunchly centrist.

Czars have been around for some decades now in both Republican and Democratic administrations. Personally, I always found the term a bit bizarre. But it is absurd of the Right Wing nitwits to make a big deal out of it.

This is the lamest scandal ever!

An unpaid volunteer who can't get a real job gives tax advice to two of the 10+ million Americans with a black market income. Who cares? This is such a joke.

I'd rather know how much money Sempra Energy was paying the whore/lobbyist who was screwing one of my state assembly members here in California in return for god knows what. Or why Obama has welched on his promise to get out of Iraq. Or why Republicans caved on the largest state tax increases in American history here in California back in February. Or what happened to the hundreds of billions of dollars of bailout money so generously given to the Wall Street Banksters by both major parties. I'd even settle for the identity of the masked gunman who convinced the mayor of my city to resign fifteen years ago. But some crackhead non-profit volunteer giving financial advice to a faux-whore and a faux-pimp? GIVE ME A BREAK. This is pathetic.

Nothing is more galling to me than all the zombies who pay attention to this kind of anti-news while their country is being pulled right out from under them, and think waving a sign or a flag or a tea bag around is going to do something. GET A CLUE!!! This country is screwed so long as people pay any attention to non-news like this while their futures are being mortgaged.

czars - again, a non-issue drummed up. the 'czar' positions actually have names... like "Director of Drug Control Policy" = Drug czar... and most of them were created during Raegan and HW Bush... they are just glorified Presidential Policy advisers... with really limited power. Fox is crap television that is worst than the Propaganda TV stations in the Islamic Republic of Iran... Fox News is not just worthless, its actually detrimental to society's well-being.

Van Jones is a genuine American hero... go read up on him beyond the Glenn Beck crap. Van Jones has dedicated his life to helping other human beings... for most right-wingers that is 'evil' because he should have used his talents to go make money... which is the only thing right-wingers seem to value in life. The reason Glenn Beck went after Jones was because one of the organizations he founded "Color of Change" which he obviously no longer heads, organized a campaign to get Beck's advertisers to pull their advertising off his show (58 of them at last count pulled their ads)... this was after Beck called the President of the country a "white-hating racist".

I actually call into some christian radio show i was listening to give my opinion on the the question, "does education liberalize people." The opinion I gave was that liberal and conservative are artificial terms that polarize the entire debate and that real opinions existed in between all those artificial terms that are used to characterize your opposites. They didn't really comment on that thouh... he most just engaged me in conversation about my atheism.
