Hmmm. It is certainly suspicious that in all five games AlecMc is currently playing, Outc4st is also present, and there is also a fair degree of co-operation between them in most of those games. They could just be friends in real life, rather than one person with multiple accounts, in which case they are guilty of metagaming rather than multi-accounting, but it is probably still worth looking into, yes.

Yes, if you notice closely, will see that if they r neighbors, Outc4ast always gains! In the game with me, both r equal becasue they were fighting wars. And AlexMc is wishfully undefended, to show later that he was backstabbed by Outc4st after they defeat me!

heres a bit of advice ice: after getting into a game, view all players' profiles and if you see something like this, inform every other player in the game as to a potential alliance that would steamroll people and get everyone to attack the solid alliance until one or both of them has been eliminated.

it could be something as simple as that outc4st introduced alexmc into diplomacy and is a better player. if thats the case then its natual for outc4st to take advantage of this fact to set up a win for himself.

I think it would be vastly interesting, given all the technology that this 'interweb' thing has given us over the old mail post dip games, to track stats like how many times this player has made agressive moves against a certain player, how many times when any pair of players has played together if they finished close in score, or if 1 won, whether the second was second place or defeated, and if defeated was it defeated by them. etc.

given there are some fuzzy points that algos cannot determine, namely semantic parsing of communiques, but territory ownership can be easily defined, and each time a territory is invaded, the invadee need just register whether or not this was expected.

think of the wealth of knowledge that can be mined here.

we can weed out multi-accounters or metagamers easily. And we can also discover new insights to tactics that work from certain positions. Just an idea

though I think I just found a logic problem. We cannot allow the user to say whether a invasion was 'intended' as multiaccounters will always say that it was intended. and wont register as hostile.

@acomist: what im doing is not metagame by any means. metagaming is coming into the game with the understanding of a prearranged alliance that isnt broken. my goal is to disrupt those alliances. if the other players agree to it or not is up to them. its by no means prearranged--the game has already started at that point.

Still no actions r taken :( I think he is using one account from school/college/work and another account from Home.

@Ice - On initial investigation this is either two people or one person who is being careful. I will be digging deeper. Even if they are two separate players, I think it's a safe bet that they know each other and are purposefully meta-gaming.

What's metagaming?

I can't tell if it is one person who is being careful about their multi-accounting, or two people who know each other in real life. That is up to the mods to figure out, and hopefully they will.
I would caution anyone from playing any game with either of these too people until more is found out.

Another example is two players in two games where the first player helps the second win in one game and in return the second player helps the first player win in the second game.

I can say for a fact that none of the games I am in are influencing any of the others.
