Bug on Global board
In game 11921, I am playing Turkey and voted for a draw by entering "/draw" in the global box -- without the quotes. The vote was not acknowledged, however, and it doesn't seem to have registered. There is only one other player remaining in the game and he voted for a draw this morning (7:20am ET) -- presumably before the upgrade.

In Autumn...
If you have X units, and X SCs, and you are forced to retreat one of those units... instead of retreating you disband that unit leaving you with X-1 units... do you get to build a new unit that turn?

Taking over countries should be encouraged!
When you take over a country, there is no indication, to an outside observer, that a country was taken over. That is to say, if you take over a country with 1 supply center at the end of a game, you are the only person recorded as having played that game.

"Depth charging"
@El_Perro_Alto: Please don't do this. Cleaning it up just takes a copy&paste of a query, but until it's cleared up it wastes the time of people reading the forums, because they can't see what posts are actually updated.

The next version has code to prevent "depth charging", but I'd rather not spend time writing anti-dumbass code so use some common sense

"anti-dumbass code"
LMAO
is that kinda like idiot proofing an app?
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Jul 09 UTC
We call idiot proofing "passing the boob test". Quick story. We had one well endowed lady user whose boobs were big enough that if she leaned over her desk, they would press on the keyboard, sometimes doing some weird stuff in the software, hende the name "passing the boob test." Makes a nice double entendre as office idiots are often called boobs as well.

MMMmmmmmmm, boobs......

Draugnar, didn't we just have a long thread about your neighbor and their young daughter? And bending over to do gardening?

I believe it was young daughterS:]
Draugnar (0 DX)

CR is right, it was daughters, and that was dirty old man syndrome. Just dreaming of boobs is a 15 year old's titilation. I was dreaming of the whole package times three (both daughters and mom) in one massive orgy.
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Jul 09 UTC
Oh and 17 and 18 aren't THAT young. They are legal in the state of KY, where I live.
Onar (131 D)
18 Jul 09 UTC
a 15 year-old's titilation, you say? Careful in that respect... I've had my share of troubles for that capacity.
vamosrammstein (757 D(B))
18 Jul 09 UTC
Well considering you said you were suffering from "dirty OLD MAN syndrome" :P I would say that they might be a little young for you. But depending on what you view as old I could be wrong:]

Hmm.. This thread has gone somewhat off topic :)

I think the current conversation is totally on topic with "depth charge"

looks around for someone to make up a reason why...

even though I have asked that same question in other threads.
Draugnar (0 DX)
18 Jul 09 UTC
Posting to every thread except the one you want to fall off the board so that it reaches the ottom of the list then adding one and only one new thread so the desired thread falls off.

I believe I coined the phrase. The naming was two fold. First Submariner (a very naval name, like a depth charge) did it. Second, the way it works is the targetted thred "explodes" (i.e. falls off) in the deep.

Oh, and the 17 and 18 year old... Anything over 16 is legal in KY for any age unless the older person is an authority figure (teacher, coach, principal, step parent, legal guardian, etc.). Just don't take pictures or it's kiddie porn. I don't get how I can not only see a naked 17 year old, but DO her, yet I can't keep photos of the event as memories.

Oh, and I'm 43, so not that old, but admittedly I was married years before either girl was born.

which thread did he kill? just.. out of curiosity
Alderian (2425 D(S))
18 Jul 09 UTC
If Kestas just removed all his posts, then everything would be back where it started so the target thread would not be gone. Threads that fall off the bottom aren't really gone, they just aren't displayable. So who knows?
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)

I think the Edi-bomb is now called the Tarassile on the grounds that Edi had nothing to do with it other than noting that it was possible.

Why are idiots and bigots always so assured of themselves, but wiser people are always brimming with
This question came up to my great uncle and me while we were verbally feuding with each other. We got a few half decent answers to it. But it was too late to actually really think about it. And I knew that this would be a badass question to put up in the forum.
