Drama Queen Rating
I request the dev's to program this rating in each profile. I'd rather not play with people who have a high drama queen rating. I dont' care how it's implemented.

FDR, Reagan, and Rushmore.....?
Another 4th of July gone, and before the feeling of patriotism gives way to cynicism about my government TODAY (Palin resigning, and she wanted to be VP... sad) a question about the titans of YESTERDAY I've wondered for a bit-

Would you consider adding to Rushmore Reagan, FDR, both, neither, maybe a "new" Rushmore somewhere else.......?

An order that I didn't enter...
I've been reading these posts by folks who claim support orders didn't go through or other quirks, and now I have one of my own: a move order I didn't issue.

Best Computer Game of All Time
I know we have a large (larger than average) adult population on these boards, and many probably don't play that many computer games, but if you do, what are your favorite games of all time?

Personally, for me nothing made post 2000 is any good by comparison, with the popular exception of Baldurs Gate I and II.

My favorites would be Conquest of the New World, Lands of Lore I and II (haven't played the third yet, but am going to once I finish the second.) and Quest for glory I, II, III, IV, and V.

All of these games run on Dos (box) though... They just don't make games like they used to.

Computer games? I like the command & Conquer series a lot.

I have fond memories of Age of Empires II and Doom when I was a wee lad, but nowadays my favorite *computer* games are Victoria and Empire Total War.

Adventure.

twisty little passages, all the same.

Dwarves that wake up and throw their axes.

A little bird in a cage...singing sweetly.

Summer of 1981. Best friend's father worked for IBM, brought home a 1st Gen PC. 3 of us stayed up all night, drawing maps on an ever-growing pile of paper. I was completely hooked.

I'm really not a big fan of the total war games. They're well designed but the AI is AWFUL... All it is is run around, mass archers, and massacre them.
KaiserAl32 (135 D)
02 Jul 09 UTC
I'm more of a campaigner than a battler, so the Ai isn't too bad. And its been improved in Empire Total War 9 (or at least if you consider an AI that agrees to protectorate status 90% of the time improved) and I do

International Cricket Captain 2001. I bought it for £1 in 2003/4ish and played on it for literally hours, over a period of three or so years. Must have played it so much that the electricity cost more than the game.

I'm surprised there aren't more Victoria fans here. Sure paradox games are buggier than Virginny in July but all the user made patches and mods make it such an excellent strategy title, if dated.
Mario RPG for the Super Nintendo

I love and have beaten every game listed here minus one or two but this game will always spark intense nostalgia.

Starcraft
Deus Ex
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
TF2

And the King of All Computer Games, X-com: UFO Defense

X-com and Deus Ex are the best ones ever, pretty much.

Yes, yes, Nethack!!! Clearly the winner. Although, I don't like the latest versions (they are too complicated). Nethack 3.1 was the best, better than 2.3 and after 3.1 it deteriorated.

Of course, it is too ancient for most people here.

The only mature game, with a truly random generated world. Not, that pre-fabricated stuff you have in the recent games.

The Wizard of Yendor and his hell hound as pet.

Every killed by a heavy iron ball?

The original Age of Empires gets my vote, and I play a lot of Rise of Nations in my free time, although I like the expansion best.

anyone up for a quick, low stakes game to kill a sunday evening? 2 hours is plenty of time to make a deal and stick with it I figure, and still watch some 1970's british television inbetween. What have you got to lose?!
