Does anyone need sheep?

I got wood if you got sheep.

What kind of resources are on this island. This may knife the idea for my political party.

It is the equivalent of the 19th century on an Earth like world. You are council to the King of a great and powerful nation. He has summoned you because he is having trouble with one of his colonies in a far-off land: the island of WebDipia. WebDipia is known across the kingdom for it's beautiful pearls, the native word for which is Points. These WebDip Points are a personal favorite of the King, but production has been lacking recently. He has commanded you and your colleagues to sail to WebDipia and increase production of his precious Points. As long as quotas are met, he does not care how you rule the island. You will be accompanied by his Royal Guard, that will keep you safe under all circumstances, unless civilization completely collapses. The Kingdom has a powerful navy which none dare oppose. As long as you remain a faithful colony, no other nations will interact with you. You know little else about Webdipia, but you have been assured there is a magistrate on the island who has been looking after things in your absense and will explain everything you need to know when you arrive.

Will you set sail for Webdipia?

Alright, I'm going to constantly propose secession, since we already have the navy covered.

Also, unbeknownst to the islanders there is a mafia on this strange island who wish wishes to kill all the vanilla townies. Want to know how it ends. Watch Mafia VII: Mists of WebDipia this Saturday at 6 P.M EST.

@TR: The Navy is the KINGDOM's not WebDipia's. As in, if we secede they will turn on us and slaughter us all to maintain control.

I am sufficiently intrigued and interested.

How many people are targeting Abge?

After having lost everything in a high stakes game of Ankara Crescent, I decide to sail to the new, rumored land of opportunity called Webdipia to seek my fortune in the strange currency known as points. I have no idea what I will find on this mysterious island, but hey, what the hell.

Vash: We already have a military. The Royal Guard is ours. That is, as long as our secession doesn't turn our island to anarchy. And I think having the Royal Guard necessitates having ships to go with them, hence a navy. Is this correct, abge?

The Navy is commanded by the King and exists only to protect the island from outside invasion so long as you remain loyal to the crown. The Royal Guard are yours to command, but keep in mind their true loyalty is to the King.

@TR: Besides, keeping in contact with the King will allows us to ask for other resources that may be helpful in stabilizing the nation, along with the assistance of experts (should the king be fine with sending them) which may have helpful knowledge. Jumping willy nilly into secession when he have no allies and will be outnumbered (even if the Royal Guard are specially trained enough soldiers will damage us significantly) by troops is not the best idea.

I normally avoid massive threads but this has piqued my interest.

Vash: Yeah, just realized we can ask things of the King by manipulating the Points in an ingenious manner.

I assume we have some knowledge of these other nations prior to our travel, abge. As we originally lived in the Kingdom, correct?

Depending on time commitment. Can you estimate?

Time commitment will be what each councilor can handle. The Magistrate can handle the daily operation of the island based on laws put i n place by the council.

Yes, although the magistrate may advise you focus on the upkeep of your island at first.

Can you tell us about the leadership structure of the Royal Guard, abge?

Yes, but knowledge do we have of them BEFORE we leave for the island.

More importantly, what are the odds of magic existing?

The magistrate will tell you everything you need to know about the guards when you arrive on the island.

As of now, the world consists of the Kingdom and the island of Webdipia. As we progress, you can be assured your knowledge of the world will expand.

There is no magic. You can assume that technology will progress more-or-less as it did on Earth (with my apologies for how I'm sure to butcher history).
