Dearest KB ...The commentators on USA politics that I regularly watch are Brooke & Shields on the independent PBS news service. If you want to rate them as ignorant mugs then that's your prerogative, I don't, I rate the pair of them as intelligent, experienced and generally well balanced in their analysis.
Rupert Murdoch's first newspaper was the Adelaide News, (inherited from his father) the afternoon news paper in the capital of the State in which I was born and mostly lived. That's where he started his media empire, so I've been reading Murdoch's papers, News, Australian, Advertiser etc for over fifty years. So whilst I am definitely no expert on American media, I am definitely no novice when it comes to Rupert's News Corporation. The proposition that the American media are ALL slavish sycophants to Hillary is risible. Some may well be, but to suggest the majority are is ridiculous, and that ALL are is sheer self deluding lunacy.
I dare say I know more about the political history and political institutions of the USA than most Trump supporters from Central Dumbnutenessee know about my country, or in many cases, their own. I have read countless diverse American writers from Damon Runyon, Gore Vidal & Hunter S Thompson, to the contributors to Playboy, over several decades. Then there's all that "imported talent" mainly from Europe, like Ayn Rand & Einstein, but also including the odd Australian, like the art critic Robert Hughes.
You've displayed an annoying but all too common fault of many citizens of the USA, the misconception that people outside the USA know as little about the USA as y'all know about the world outside the USA.
I've been exposed to "cultural influences" from the USA from childhood mainly via TV and films as well as music and literature, but fortunately that was diluted by cultural influences from the United Kingdom, Europe and from my own country, Australia, with a little bit from New Zealand and Asia as well.
Because the USA has been the world's dominant superpower post WW2, it's "culture" has been exported to the rest of the world. It's also why the rest of the world "watches" USA politics, business news etc. But it's largely been a one way traffic. Y'all are far more insulated and insular to what goes on outside of your nation than the outside world is to what goes on in the USA.
Most modern citizens of the USA are only fed a diet of their own globally dominant "culture" (and Europeans will understand that I use the term "culture" in combination with "the USA" in a slightly satirical way). That's why, quite frankly, so many citizens of the USA are, to put it simply, "plain ignorant folks" particularly when it comes to the world outside of the USA, but increasingly commonly, about their own country as well. Kudos to your public school system and it's decline since the 1960's. Why read Twain, Hemingway or Vidal Gore, watch Citizen Kane when y'all can watch the Kardashians, rednecks catchin' Gators & rattlesnakes, South Park, American Dad & "read" Twitter.
So I may have been mistaken about CNN (which I doubt), but I am sure there are an abundance of media outlets in the USA that hate Hillary and the Democrats and proselytise relentlessly in favourof the Conservatives & more extreme right wing groups, dissembling disingenuously and disseminating propaganda 24/7/365.
The claim I refute was that ALL media in the USA is subservient to Hillary & Bill Clinton and the Democrats.
Good luck arguing that such a claim is valid KB, whilst you do so you might have a "eureka" moment and realise why your political claims suffer a distinct lack of credibility.
