Did Cameron do this on purpose?
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jun/28/cameron-eu-juncker-defeat-britain-exit

His foreign policy is a total shambles but maybe he did this on purpose to accelerate the Brexit. It takes great strategic planning to bungle something this badly.

Could someone explain to me how to get the derivative of:
(3x^2+6x)/(2x^3+2)^5
So [(3x^2+6x)/(2x^3+2)^5]'=.....
I've missed quite some math classes lately and I need to know how to solve this type of thing (and other things but anyway) for a test tomorrow. I could probably figure it out myself eventually, but I just don't have the time and I have quite a bit more to go through.
Would someone be willing to show me the steps I should take?

Of Kurds and Caliphates
http://news.yahoo.com/netanyahu-calls-jordan-support-kurdish-autonomy-214846630.html The ISIS today declared itself to be an Islamic State...and we'll see how long that lasts, or where that goes...meanwhile, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyau called for support for the Jordanians (gee, I can't imagine why) and independence for Iraq's Kurds. Which is a more likely state to be recognized/come into being/"stick," a Kurdistan (if you will) or this ISIS caliphate? Thoughts?

B.J. Upton powers Braves past Phillies 3-2
Gerald Laird had two hits with a double and RBI for the Braves, who won for the sixth time in seven games though ending their road trip 8-3. Atlanta avenged a three-game sweep by Philadelphia June 16-18 at Turner Field.

Question for the mods:
I note we have some newish stats, like reliability rating. Ilove the idea of this. Is there some way we can set up games with a minimum reliability rating threshhold for participants? That would be a really nice way to filter out the people who join live games and then immediately quit the moment the game does not work out for them.

Roadside service for life... Just saved me a headache and a bill. Had a blowout, made a phone call, 30 minutes later, they are changing my tire and setting up an appointment for tomorrow morning to get the blown one replaced.

I don't think anyone shops for suits when they aren't on sale, Draug. Honestly I don't know if I've ever walked into a designer shop that didn't have substantial sales - it's like they're always going on to make them seem cheaper.
Putin33 (111 D)

Sales are a scam. Poor JC Penney has suffered mightily for trying to actually be honest. Consumers don't want honesty.

And I'm off to bed as well. going on 2:30 AM here and I have to get the car in at 8:00 to replace the tire. I'm hoping to get away with just one. Michelins are so damn expensive I really don't want to have to do the pair when they have such good tread still.

An enlightening thread. Never knew IT guys wore suits in the States. Especially highly paid ones in 90 degree heat. Maybe I've worked in the public sector too long, but it seems an age since I've seen someone in the office wearing a tie.

personally I find changing a tyre an enjoyable experience. Possibly worth getting a chap to look at the wheel after a blowout though. I'm assuming blowout in the U.S. is the same as in the UK and refers to a sudden and catastrophic tyre failure rather than a puncture. Although what you were doing to have a blowout on a Merc God only knows:p

We do when we are meeting a potential client to discuss what we, a $20 million company, can do for them, a $2 billion company. Yeah, they cam buy or sell us 100 times over, so we wear suits. The botch of it was yesterday was jeans day (first and last Fridays of the month) but I ended up wearing my light grey suit with dark blue shirt and tie.

I'm not just an IT guy. None of my developers wear sport coats or ties unless they are seeing a high profile client, but I report to the CTO directly. And even I don't unless I am reporting to the board or to a very high profile client like yesterday. Normal attire is long sleeve dress shirt and nice wool slacks with dress shoes.

oOf course, the public sector is jeans and tees, but the private sector still has some standards they expect.
Putin33 (111 D)

And how would you know about the public sector dress code?

Strangely enough American car manufacturers are highly regarded in the UK. Ford and GM consistently dominate the popularity lists with their Fiesta, Focus, Corsa and Astra models, and they have no shortage of awards.

Japanese cars have lost a lot of their reputation for build quality, and have kept their reputation for being a bit dull.

Both far better than Italian cars. Aside from the luxury models they're really crap.

Coastal Movement
Normally, when two units make a move to each other's territories, it causes a bounce (Rhur moves to Munich while Munich moves to Rhur). However, would coasts be treated as different territories for fleets? For example, could a fleet in Spain (nc) move to MAO while another fleet in MAO moved to Spain (sc)? Same with Bulgarian coasts and Constantinople. Thanks in advance!

OK, sorry for the delay...and the continued delay--we'll start Midnight tonight. ORWELL! DICKENS! POE! TOLKIEN! Who will advance?

And a bonus question, just for schnicks and giggles--what's the first book you read after high school (or, if it was a while ago, the earliest book you can remember reading after high school?) Just curious to see what we get.

Worst Non-Sitcom TV Show You've Ever Watched? (4 Episodes Minimum)
Friends were raving about this Netflix show, "Orange is the New Black." Watched. ..It's awful. Wall to wall. The main lead (not the actress herself, she seems to be trying, at least) is like the adult equivalent of Bella Swann meets Every Yuppie Character Ever. Every character's a stereotype. Every guy is a perv, sex-crazed ass, douche, OR just has no life whatsoever. The writing is as bad as I've seen...and yet, this won awards? xD So, worst shows?
