Has anyone noticed how much more the conservatives hate the liberals as compared to vice versa on this site?

Actually, no. I've always got the impression that the conservatives were more live and let live sort of people who enjoy a big argument, whereas the liberals (well, some of them) sprout forth real venom.

Fair enough. While I commit to being neither conservative or liberal, I do enjoy a good argument. But it seems to be that liberal values are so often mocked by conservatives, krellin constantly making fun of climate change for example.

Ok... Pet peeve of the day. Climate change is not a liberal value. Climate change just is.

To quote the Conservative party (who, I've been told, are quite conservative)

I appreciate your efforts to help in my muting rampage. But once again, I am muting the obnoxious ones. Notice I haven't muted Celticfox or bosox, as they can be debated. Jack Klein, despite him being impossible to reach, knows his stuff.

Read the gun control threads. A lot of liberals sarcastically claimed that giving everyone a free gun and teaching us all how to use them would solve everyones problems. Thats mocking.

Read what Maniac had to say on immigration:

Mocking our stance on immigration by posting self contradictory messages.

Liberals are mocking the conservatives just as much as we are mocking them.

~Fasces - in fairness politicians in the UK do seem to have a habit of being able to state contradictory views on immigration and get away with it. This applies to all political parties. Take the following quote:

"...the free movement of people across Europe is a central tenant of the EU.... on the whole this is good for our economy. However, we realise that people feel as if we haven't listened to their genuine concerns about immigration.....it is not racist to suggest that immigration should be controlled"

This kind of drivel could have come from any of the three main political parties.
