Why is there even a webdiplomacy moderator e-mail if no one is every going to answer questions about cheating/multi-accounts?

It just seems like the whole website is un-moderated and everyone knows it.

Stick it in the crazy? Y/N?
KA just referenced one of CM's threads, and someone linked it. I noticed a few people gave advice to CM which read "don't stick it in the crazy". I was kind of wondering if that's a rule which all people on this site support.

So, what's your opinion of dating and/or having sex with the insane variety of women (or men)?
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

If you don't want to spend all of your money on kids you never knew you had in 15 years, stick to one.
Celticfox (100 D(B))
22 Sep 12 UTC
As a woman just saying don't stick it in the crazy. It always ends badly for you and is very very costly.
If you wind up having sex with only two people in your life, one of them was probably crazy. And you've missed out on one of the best reasons for being human.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
22 Sep 12 UTC
Biology is very forgiving to humans, Bob, but society is not. A friend of mine is 18 and pays child support through his parents, who have essentially disowned him and are using his college fund that was probably not going to be used on college for him anyway.
FlemGem (1297 D)
22 Sep 12 UTC
bosox - My first thought about that was that HIV/AIDS isn't very forgiving, but I wasn't sure what you meant about biology being forgiving. Could you explain?
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
22 Sep 12 UTC
Biology, mostly evolution, you know, the reason our brains work and we have thumbs. AIDS isn't the fault of human biology, nor are any other STDs that I know of off the top of my head. I'd say the only prevalent disease that can't be faulted to something else is the general cancer.

That's not referring to fault of one's own, but fault of one's body. I'm not at all saying heart disease is the fault of someone's actions, and while it can be, it's usually got another trait behind it, etc.

Biology doesn't refer to STDs. They aren't interchangeable.

I still can't figure out what your point to Bob was, but maybe it's just me :-)
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
22 Sep 12 UTC
My point is that "one of the reasons of being human" is a biological thing, which I support if you are talking of individuals, but if the entire human race believed that we should all strive to have 40 children because that's what nature intended then we'd have 50,000,000,000 people by the time I die. The human population has crossed its carrying capacity already and I believe it's become extremely evident that we control how high we can go, and as long as we want to keep going, we will do exactly that. Humans defy nature as it is and, I hate to say it, but thinking otherwise demonstrates that one hasn't thought about it enough. We control what happens to us.

Without the science lesson, we can't just have sex until we've inbreeded an entire new civilization. Gotta be a little less than that.
FlemGem (1297 D)
22 Sep 12 UTC
"Humans defy nature" - now you've got me REALLY intrigued. Say more about that. I'm always curious about how/why people see humans as apart from nature.
Just so you know, I'm not actually considering going after crazies, nor seeking advice. Just thought I might get some interesting responses. So what I gather so far is that everyone here believes that if you have sex with a crazy woman, she will sperm-jack you and you'll have to pay child support in the years to come?
MajorMitchell (1874 D)
22 Sep 12 UTC

there's a difference between
1 having sex with an insane variety of persons, and
2 having sex with a variety of insane persons
plus why is the assumption that the "crazy woman" will "sperm jack" you
why can't you take responsibility for how, when & into whom you deposit your seed ?
HappyHippo (0 DX)
22 Sep 12 UTC
Well i was the first one to bring that point up in the CM thread so i might just comment on this one.
It's not the spermjacking or whatever that made me make that point but if you have sex with mentally or emotionally challenged people it can have a pretty wide range of negativ repercussions. Getting her pregnant because she "forgot" her pill is just one of them. Getting stalked is no fun i can tell you...

"...The human population has crossed its carrying capacity already..." Haaaa ha ha ha ha haaaaaa haaaa haha haha ha ha ha! God....what moronic drivel are they teaching you in school. We waste more food and water than we consume in this country and we still feed other parts of the world. Good god, give me a break....support your insane radical belief, please. Document and prove it.

You people are too paranoid.

For a one-time thing crazy is irrelevant, so long as you wrap it up right. For a relationship it's also nearly irrelevant, since if you don't get out as soon as you see crazy you deserve what you get.

I'm genuinely surprised that I'm saying this, but you people all seem really misogynistic. Women are overwhelmingly not crazy and do not want to steal your sperm after one hookup or a month of dating to make a baby. The few like that are easy enough to spot and easy enough to avoid.

Use a bag, don't sow your oats too widely. These aren't hard rules, folks.

There are plenty of crazy women all around. And somehow, I've managed not to get a single one of them pregnant.
I wonder how I did that...
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
22 Sep 12 UTC
Look at the population numbers if you want to say that humans don't defy nature. Look at 1500 BCE versus 800 CE versus now.
Invictus (240 D)
22 Sep 12 UTC
Well, in 1500 BC and AD 800 technology and agriculture was incomparably less advanced than it is now. When Mayans or whoever first domesticated corn, for example, ears were less than a fifth the size they are now, and with fewer kernels. People also live longer now than ever before due to modern medicine, and we die of heart disease and cancer rather than lions and tigers. That's not "defying nature," that's success.

And as a society gets richer, populations growth slows. Europe and Japan are below replacement level, and the United States is just above it, mostly due to immigration. There's no reason to think that sort of thing won't happen once the poorer parts of the world reach similar levels of development, which will eventually happen. I mean, even the worst places to live today are better than they were 100 years ago.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
22 Sep 12 UTC
Technology has advanced us to the point where we are nearly beyond agriculture.
FlemGem (1297 D)
22 Sep 12 UTC
Not trying to be obtuse, but I can't see how an exponentially rising human population defies nature. What is unnatural about reproduction? Or medicine, or water sanitation, or technology in general?
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
23 Sep 12 UTC
Before I say this next line, I'd just like to inform you all that no, I'm not Hitler, and no, I don't plan to carry out this statement in any way or form. K?

Think of what would be without the human race.

It would be much better for the rest of the earth. Humans aren't a keystone species at all; it's not to say that we aren't important but that we are not living within the world as much as we are living above it. Reproduction is natural, but carrying capacity is as well, and carrying capacity happened hundreds of years ago. Technology is natural to a point, but we have influenced our own carrying capacity through it. Medicine in its herbal forms is natural, but in our every day methods? Not really.

One might argue that if it happens, it is natural, but in the same way that climate change is not natural (ten years ago you could have argued that point too; not so much now), human's lifestyle is run by humans, not the world. It sounds simple, but it's a very, very unusual phenomena. In other words, no other species can pull it off.

So to wrap this back around to sex with as many girls as you can think of, that's weird too...

You've got to love WebDiplomacy. I was about to opine on the topic of having sex with crazy women, but scrolling half-way down the thread I see:

"Technology has advanced us to the point where we are nearly beyond agriculture. "
^You're welcome to get this topic back on track if you like.

This is dumb, have sex with someone who is crazy if you're attracted to them. Don't if you're not.

Some people are attracted to crazy. That's when you should watch yourself, because it's not about the person anymore, it's about the crazy itself, and that's can be a mess because you're motivating their crazy with your (probably more subtle) crazy.

If you're giving this partner the consideration they deserve as a person and they're crazy, and you're attracted to them, go for it. Be careful, don't give them keys, talk to your friends about the crazy and have them help you keep it in perspective. Enjoy yourself.
^Of course it's dumb, why else would *I* make a thread about it.
MajorMitchell (1874 D)
24 Sep 12 UTC

"crazy" is a "generic" term & innacurate
& the application of that descriptive term is generally subjective & not objective
many of those few persons of "genius" intellect are regarded as "crazy" by the ignorant mob

I also think that men have to take responsibility for their role in creating pregnancies
so to me, it doesn't matter what a woman's psychological status is, if a man has sex, he has to take responsibility for his seed, so unless you are in a committed relationship, have discussed pregnancy and both agreed to "try for a pregnancy"
then the man has just as much responsibility to ensure that contraceptive procedures are used, so use a combination of several measures-- eg use a condom and "timing" with the womans menstrual cycle
- don't just give / leave the responsibility to the woman

what are we saying here ? that "crazy" persons have less right to be treated with respect than "normal" persons ? -- I reject that notion,
if anything, persons who suffer mental deficiencies should be treated with the same respect but more compassion than a "normal' person, thats a tricky thing to do without being patronising.

I note for all those who wander onto the "technology can solve the problems of overpopulation" argument ignore the need for collective "moral improvement"
-- if technology & engineering give us the "power of God" then unless we make similar progress in moral development then we will make poor choices in the way we use the power that our technological & engineering progress give us
I see little reduction in "selfishness" in our societies and a depressing increase in extremism
so while we are making huge advances in science, technology & engineering, we are not making the same progress in ethical, moral & philosophical improvement
an individual with an IQ of 180+ but an emotional age of a child is a scary thing

Hominids are just one experiment of nature, if it fails, nature will try an alternative
assuming that Homo Sapiens has primacy over all other life forms is somewhat egocentric

@db_shocktrooper

You know young man, this is one of few questions on the forum where I genuinely don't have an answer. Since I stopped dating crazy women a decade ago, I definitely have less stress in my life. But then again, it's pretty clear to me that my sex life is not as good.

Oh yeah, and as most of the other posters here agree, all women are crazy to one degree or another.

Best point of strategy that I could find is maybe to find a girl who's really really crazy but really really sweet.
