I finished sitting for Nigee and hit the draw button in every one of his games once I got on. I think the rest of the board just followed.

I didn't mean to hit that draw...

on another note, I have realized that when the first attack on Austria fails, give up. You both grow then

I don't like when Italy attacks Austria hardly ever. I was stalemated with Turkey, and once you backed off, I could hold that line until he got a fleet into the Adriatic, at which point I'd have found another way around. Still, Russia could always tank my luck, but I figured he wanted Sevastopol first, so I was just trying to maneuver into a line against Turkey before he got it.

I decided to take Zmaj's word for it that the Crusher is effective. It backfired completely...

No, I'm finishing his games. Once they are done, I'm not getting on his account anymore. He and I aren't in any of the same games of course.

I was Turkey. I opened against Russia but then Austria got three builds so I had to redirect. Russia and I were friends for a while so I built a couple of fleets to start moving out but then England started killing Russia and Italy was battling Austria so I made the poor in hindsight choice to get Seva from Russia so that I could finish him off and stand up against Austria better. Problem was that I had a fleet in Black Sea and on the wrong coast of Bulgaria. Then Italy and Austria made friends and England shit the bed so the rest of my game was trying to rearrange my troops so I could do something. I thought for sure Italy was going to support hold Greece in that last year in which case I would have been completely screwed but fortunately he didn't. I have to give Russia a lot of credit for rebuilding back from nearly dead.

This game was bogus >_>

Drew Germany which i hate in Gunboats, but fine was willing to make it work.
Decided to bounce in Munich rather than support France into Belgium, but he got the gist anyway and the English attack was on! Everything was going great until I realized I made a mistake in assuming competence on Englands part, and I guess he didn't realize that a fleet in EC meant London would be taken! So France gobbles up all of England while i'm stuck with no builds (and also England not letting me take Edi, why do you like the French more than me achillies :().

I thought for sure that France was about to move on me, so I didn't feel safe convoying to yorkshire (because I was convinced France would move there and bounce me, he didn't though, thanks <3)

Anyway, Finally England disbands his homeland, I get edi! ohnowai- France stops my convoy and England decides to continue his anti-German campaign by setting up camp in Berlin. I end up in Edi with my fleet, but since I was worried France would take it (and also if you think about it, France got the 2-1 split of England, I should get Belgium) So I took it. It was only fair after all.

Thankfully France didn't take edi that turn, and I thought great we can still work together! Well apparently France didn't like me taking Belgium (though it was only fair) and started attacking me. I tried to show I had no intention of fighting him, I even moved to help him out against Italy, and support held him, didn't move to lvp and everything. Well France said fuck that and took Holland, and that was the end of me liking France!

Kicked him out of Holland, and lost Belgium through an idiotic Misorder which shouldn't have happened. I would have kept my build if it weren't for that. Oh well, Russia seemed friendly enough, was waiting for him to really tear into France's England and for France to be eliminated, but I guess everyone wanted to draw :P

Email notifications?
I'm not receiving email notifications when someone messages me in-game and I'm finding that really surprising. Is that expected behavior?

FWIW, I originally used plus addressing and I'm wondering if that messed something up.

Civil Order
My version of the most original, never-before-seen thread ever.

Two live games tonight. Two drawn games. One in 1901 builds, one in 1903 autumn. One because of a player whose name surprised me a bit to have CD'd; another who I suspected and even talked about with other players prior to the game.

The Case of the First-Cause Favorite
Pick something you're passionate about--a literary/TV/film series you love, a hobby you're really into, etc.--and say how you were first introduced to it, or if you can recall, what the first episode/story it was you first saw/read...

It'd be interesting to see not only what some of the choices here are, but how we came to pick them in the first place.

Why do some in game messages have an estimated time (~9:36pm for example) which is usually way off? Shouldn't a computer be able to know the exact time a message was sent?
