Gunboat Cheater Message
I am playing a WorldDip gunboat game, and a guy was kicked off. The admin sent a notification, of course. However, the message cannot be read because there is no in game messaging, and displays as a permanent alert across the top of my page. What to do?

Why is my countdown clock perfectly in-sync some days and horribly off on others?
Today is is perfect... well a 2 second differential on the turn count-down timer. Other days its 30-40 seconds off. Same computer... same internet connection... what gives.

Wherein we see an object lesson as to why it's probably not a good idea for Austria to attack every power on the board save England before he has 10 SCs.

Way too many betrayals in that. I feel bad about a few things in that. The attack in Turkey via convoy was regrettable, as was the many squabbles with England. I finally realized I needed to have a show of good faith to someone, (France) and they completely used my kindness and turned it into gobbling up two more centers for themselves.

I was most willing to work with Austria, and they kept trying to screw with me.
As Italy, my plan was to keep the med clear of fleets other than my own. Yes, brilliant strategic insight there, no? After Spring 1901, when France was seemingly beset upon all sides, I figured that meant I could ignore him and start focusing on Turkey. So I did, with monomaniacal intensity. I enjoyed my dummy convoy to Albania before convoying to Syria, but if I'd gone to Smyrna directly, I could have knocked Turkey out of the game toute suite.

Anyway, I danced with Turkey for a while, taking greece from him and hoping either Russia or Austria would take a hint and start putting some pressure on Connie and Ankara. Not to be. Then, after Turkey's Grecian fleet retreated to Albania, I tried protecting Trieste from Turkish roguishness, and was bounced not by Turkey, but rather Austria. Apparently, this gave Austria the idea to go strong after me. So, he sacrificed his position in Munich in order to start moving into Italy. Well, I didn't hate Turkey, just saw them as a target of opportunity. So, it was time to take my many fleets west and try and gut Austria. Which, I think I helped accomplish. It was fun watching forces come at austria from four different directions. Thanks, Russia, you were a sweetheart for distracting Turkey at that point. If I could have helped you, I would have, given that my strategic goal from the death of Germany on was a strong Russia in the north, a strong Italy in the south. still, all in all, a fun game.

As always, classy Bob. I was gonna throw in a support hold in Trieste for a show of desperately needing a friend in that crazy game. Ahah thank god it was a draw or I would have been carved up next.

Spring Gunboat Tournament*
I wanted to do this behind the scenes, but can't seem to find anyone, so I had to pause one of the games and am putting out a call for a replacement player. Someone has to leave and I can't push the games forward until I've found someone else. It's a good position, please message me!

Playing in Anonymous Games
Are there signals people use when playing in anonymous games? I play totally independently because I know no-one, but looking at how others play there does seem to be some interesting collaboration. For example if you hold an opposition unit is that a signal for something?

Boys in Pseudo-Postal
There are four cancel votes. I think this is a good idea, and I think we should all try to play again, but it is clear that everyone is too busy right now to communicate proper. I would be willing to pause for an indefinite amount of time if that's the preference, but the consensus right now is a cancel. (Sorry this isn't through the mail system, I think we need a quick decision since the deadline is fast approaching.) Please post your thoughts, objections, concerns here.
