So what's all this talk about league play?
I've been skimming through some forum topics about leagues here on webdiplomacy. I signed up for a newbie league about a month ago, but I passed the maximum points threshold and I don't really feel up to tanking to get back under. =P For those familiar, can I get some info?

Don't you love it when there are three inactive players in a game, two of them basically huge superpowers and the rest of the game refuses to draw.

Add to that the fact no one in the game readys up, ever.

Gunboat diplomacy
I want to know how i can signal alliances in Gunboat games. Like how does Turkey ally with italy or Turkey ally with Austria. And how does France give alliance to Germany. Basically I want you to tell me the best way to signal all alliances that can be made early in the game

Should all foreign forces be withdrawn from Afghanistan?
I am intrigued by the defence to the vacuum argument here,

and the thorny problem of how to include the foreign parts of the Taliban etc in such a move.

Technically, you shouldn't talk about ongoing games though. Probably should just e-mail the mods. (I'm not sure this is bannable anyway though. Not sure though, it could be.)

They're obviously joking around, however, it is technically breaking the rules and definitely very poor etiquette. Perhaps a polite reminder would have sufficed. I'm sure they would have cut it out.

By the way, when it comes to this type of stuff, it shouldn't be posted on the forum. You can contact the mods via [email protected]

Also, in my opinion, it's probably not really that big of deal since they were obviously kidding. I probably wouldn't bother reporting something like that to the mods, but maybe I shouldn't be the one to judge that.

Technically that could be considered illegal too, since it's going around site rules. But I'm not sure there's ever been a case of that...

Since the game is anon, you (if you were a crazy person) might consider it going around the rules to tell people your name. Kind of a stretch, but technically, there's a case there.
