One problem with PPSC is you often get two players who get in a strong position and then sweep the board killing everyone else off to end in a 2 way draw or a win and strong second. Really sucks as one of those opponents because there is no diplomatic way to break the two powers apart. This even happens when the 2 aren't specifically allied. The second strongest may be happy with a strong second so don't help try to stop the strongest but instead just tries to pick up as many extra centers as possible before the strongest wins.
This doesn't happen with WTA because a strong second = 0

. A 2 way draw is still possible, but the risk is much higher in WTA. In PPSC if you agree on a 2 way draw but then get stabbed, you get 16/34ths of the points instead of 17/34ths of the points. In WTA and agree on a 2 way draw and get stabbed you get 0

. So less people go for a 2 way draw.
