Which country do you think has the most respectful people?
Limited to civilian people, military does not count. Overall, from all areas of the country. Two rules, cannot say your own country or a country you have never actually been to or only heard of.

Can anyone defend socialism?
Can anyone defend the idea that "government" can produce a better society by diminishing individual freedom in exchange for increased socialist imposition of government power on the individual?

What is the worst Christmas or holiday gift we have ever received?
I got a pair of socks once, not even cool socks. Just plain white Hane's socks, not even a value pack or anything. Just a single pair, turns out they were only worth two bucks anyways.

How do I contact mods to cancel a game?
http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=186672

A bunch of my friends started this up, but being new to the game half of them lost interest and wandered off. But we forgot to password protect it and now innocent bystanders are being dragged into this NMR suffering. Any chance we can just call it quits?

Pigs are pretty happy creatures. If given the choice, would you become a pig and be happy in the ignorance of all the problems in the world?

Im not sure that being miserable about the plight makes you better than a pig.

I dont think its really a good idea to carry around a scorecard in hopes you can present St. Peter an excel spreadsheet of good deeds vs bad upon death.

I think a year or two of sobriety would really help you, "muchinlovewithPC" brainbomb. Perhaps a sublter message from the behaviour of.the undoubtedly lovable but problematic Princess Crystal is that you do need to be firm, resolved on certain matters and I'd suggest the booze ( & maybe other intoxicants ? But we don't discuss them here thank-you ) is a prime issue.
But here's a tip.
Like saying sorry to a partner, a yell fest should be used sparingly.
Many of you might remember my rants about over using sorry. Don't use it for trivial stuff. Use it maybe three to eight times a year with a partner, so it has impact, meaning.
Yell fests is a crude tool. It can be effective. I'd suggest refining your discinaplary methods with PC. Clearly you need them. But use your intelligence in the way you choose and use these tools.

MM, I'm Canadian - how do you propose a Canadian limits their apologies to three to eight times a day, let alone a year?
MajorMitchell (1605 D)
20 Dec 16 UTC
Well you have to be clever and disciplined. You say other things..
"oh i regret ...."pardon me" & "excuse me" or use a ploy, eg your blamed for leaving a door or window open..response " I wanted some fresh air "
I think you are perhaps being satirical DO ..what do Canadians have to be sorry about apart from the behaviour of your neighbours ?

Is it me, or is the Modern Diplomacy map really bad?
The starts are more unbalanced than in any other variant, and builds anywhere means there is no incentive to defend your homeland, and lessens strategic depth as there is also no incentive to try your best to hold your ground when you've extended relatively far from where you started. I've played this variant a couple times, but it keeps disappointing me. What's the appeal?

I'm not purely trying to detract here, I sincerely want a counterargument.
