So its been since August that she got thrown in jail and totalled her car. My ex has my phone number and she just opts to no longer talk to me. In our last conversation she tells,me I am psycho but I am too good at expressing my emotions.

Being a Diplomat
I've finally hoarded enough points to achieve the elusive label of "Diplomat" on my profile again. For some reason though, I'm not really all that thrilled with the "upgrade" from the previous rank.

Soloing without building fleets
I'm curious how often powers can solo without building an additional fleet. I'm also wondering which powers could accomplish this feat. From what I can think of, there are only two powers that could accomplish it, Austria and Russia.
I just soloed with Russia without building a fleet (gameID=185108) which makes me think that Russia would have the easiest time with it. They already start with two, and have access to the entire land interior of the board without needing to contend with Switzerland.

We all know that it's possible to do it with Austria, given PW's famous solo in the 2015 ODC (gameID=159213). Austria seems more difficult, however. They have the same centres readily available in the interior as Russia. However, since Turkey is difficult to invade from the the Mediterranean or by land, there are less centres easily available.

Has anyone else soloed in this way with a different power?

I imagine germany can do likewise... Most of the difficulty can be offset by having any ally who only builds fleets. (Like turkey in the second game you linked?)
It might be possible with Germany. If someone has an example, I would be intrigued to see it. Germany has unobstructed access to the eastern lands and aren't largely surrounded by water, which makes it a decent candidate. I think the problem with Germany is that there's almost no way they could take England's centres, unless another power was willing to convoy their units over.

gameID=182619 works as a proof of concept for Germany. I chickened out and built two the last year, but their moves could have been made by armies. Regrets.

1. There were several factors that made it possible for you to solo without additional fleets, but still - GG.

2. I had a break for a while, wtf was "Wait for orders"? Don't we always wait for orders? ._.

Fleets are just armies that can't go on land.
@Yassem: Oh you're entirely correct. It wasn't actually an impressive solo. But it got me thinking. Ghug's and PW's example's are much more impressive.

I'm actually surprised to see it's possible with Germany. Mind you, that game is a pretty odd one to begin with, given an English army in Bulgaria.

Yeah, I think the only way it's possible with Germany is a late game stab on England once you're both well into the East like that one, whereas Austrian and Russian ones are plausible in more situations. I don't think any of the other four can get away with it even in a botched two-way situation like that though.

What I'm finding interesting is that peterwiggin is in all of these games.
Yeah, apparently he lends himself to such matters

Obama tried same thing as Trump and got blocked
Obama repeatedly tried to give tax breaks for companies that "insource' jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad.

Trump to dump Pence after inauguration?
After appointing a Supreme Court justice and a big tax cut, Trump might be replaced by Pence (due to conflict of interest of biz dealings), but what if Trump replaced Pence with a Democrat first? Then Trump is immune from investigation because Pence is no longer there to replace him. Genius?

Political talk aside, what board games (other than Diplomacy ofc) do people really like playing? I usually stick to video games but given we all likely have similar gaming interests I figured I'd ask for some recommendations.
