Cat v. Dog
I think Cats are far more lovable. It has been proven cats increase positivity in their owners. They also purr and reduce blood pressure and stress. Plus you never hear some asshole say: "honey we gotta take the fucking cat for a walk, AGAIN"

Dogs smell, and they jump on people and slobber on you. Cats should win this thing.

US Election 2016: Trump v. Clinton v. Bloomberg.
It's looking more and more certain that this will be the presidential election line-up, with the BBC confirming that Michael Bloomberg will run as an independent if Trump/Clinton receive their respective party's nomination.

UN II - Constitution, resolutions and proposals.
The world has changed. The time of a lonely superpower is over. There are 17 powers in the world, and each of them has a vote in the security council in the new United Nations (UN).
The purpose of the game is role-playing game of diplomacy where the diplomacy between countries is in focus, not the actual war. You should choose a role to play (the neutral country opposed all wars, the super-power wanna-be, the federalist, the I'm-just-gonna-fuck-you-up-IS-role, or any other role).

Joinable games
I have been waiting months for this to make sense to me, but I still don't get it. When I click on Games, at the moment it says "Joinable (54)". When I click on the tab, I only see 1, and that game doesn't even have any joinable positions. What am I missing?

Overall, pretty happy with how these game went seeing as I hadn't played in a few months and had decent competition. Got a good vibe from France early on, so I knew I'd be spending most of my early game in the East. I got along well with both Turkey and Russia, so I figured we'd wipe out Austria early and then see where things take us. I was enjoying working with Turkey, and kept trying to get him to move against Russia, but for whatever reason he kept stalling, so I eventually decided to go all in with my Russian alliance. I helped him cripple Germany while I continued to work on Turkey. Of course, he then got a bit greedy and went for a solo (at not a good time, imho) which almost kept Turkey in the game. Thankfully, France Turkey (sorry!), and I were able to push him back enough that eliminating Turkey was no longer an issue. I got quite big at the end and I think if we had continued playing, there was a decent shot of me soloing, but I couldn't quite figure out where the last center would come from. If I wasn't up against bask and ss, whom I know are both very talented, I would have pushed it to see if someone made a mistake, but as it stood, it didn't seem like a great use of anyone's time. Overall a very fun game!

All in all a fun game, especially since a decent caliber of players were willing to play over the holiday with no pauses. I'm Russia and Austria got a real short stick in this game. I wanted to work with England and turkey. Most peculiar of me, but I've been trying new ideas. It started ok with England, but Brainbomb kind of blew up on me, and that went south quickly but France quickly devoured him, so oh well. Working with stack in turkey was a pleasure and had good talks with abge in Italy. Having played with both may times, I knew it was three way banter, but I always felt I had the upper hand. Then stack made (imho )a bonehead stab in spring no less, and that was the end of that. He claimed stupidity and I was already at 11 sc, so he promised to help me solo, for a survive.i got to 14 sc, while abge and I were killing turkey. Then There was essentially and agreed three way draw at that point, so I gave it a go with stacks support , and pushed. Hoping he would be good to his word, he stabbed again, and forced me to crawl back to get the draw. I was completely out of position, but it ended OK. As we were dispensing of turkey, the French just kept attacking me in the north, most annoying, but actually left a small opening for Abge to maybe solo. OY. Anyway I enjoyed playing with all, and hope to play with Austria again, as he wasn't around very long. I think he died in 02.

I will make it short.

This was rather simple game on my side. Italy was very friendly and we immediately had trust relationship. Same was with England - good negotiations, a lot of press. Both of us agreed to DMZ the English Channel, both of us violated this DMZ, and this is when things with England really started to break down.

It began with a public announcement from England that we had a nice alliance for one turn. Then England outlined that I build in Brest, overrun him and Germany grows uncontrollably. Germany also thought there is something wrong with England.

England insisted I fight Italy & Germany, in a very rude communication that created a lot of antagonism and I decided that it's best to eliminate him.

In Spring 1902 I have misordered MAO to West Med instead of NAO and sent Spain to Gascony instead of Portugal, but it was a mistake I could take advantage of. I told England that I am fighting Italy, and it seemed like England believed. Meanwhile Germany was struggling with England and Russia and I realized that it would be best not to attack him, as he is giving some contra to this ER alliance.

In Autumn 1902 I moved back to MAO, and Italy attacked Germany.

I was worried that Italy is growing too fast - 3 builds, two fleets and an army. It was a real danger to my position. England continued to be lunatic. Luckily, Turkey have built a fleet and I think that Italy perceived him as a bigger threat and decided to move the fleets against Turkey and not against me. VERY favorable to me.

From there Italy and Russia continued to fight Germany, England continued to fight Russia, and I could safely eliminate England.

This is where I have started to speak about a 3-way with Italy and Russia. Things seemed really well, until Russian stab against Italy in Autumn 1905. My communications with Russia did not get a response ("you are forcing us into a 4-way draw instead of 3-way draw"), and I had no choice but to make sure that Italy and Turkey attack Russia together. Which they did.

Very quickly Russia turned back on its path and we continued with our 3-way plan.

I continued to fight Russia in the north, just to see if I can somehow turn it into a solo later on, in case Russia and Turkey start attacking Italy, but it didn't happen. I was too relaxed in the end, expecting Russia to make most of the gains from Turkey, but all the sudden Italy got to 14 SCs and also moved hard against Russia.

The last year was not a real game anyway, as I perceived it, and we were just waiting for Turkey to go out.

I agree that if abgemacht would go for a solo, he had a shot at it, but it was a very slim chance. Besides, the last 2-3 years were spent mostly in conversations about drawing after Turkey is out, so on a more personal level it was clear to me that Italy will click the draw button - which he did.

Very easy game. I did not experience tough negotiations, stabs and intrigues - except 1901. Ultimately, friendly Italy, busy Germany and England who made a lot of poor choices with even poorer diplomacy, made it a simple game for the Xmas period. Or should I say, Hannukah ;)
