With respect Bo, I don't think that counts - because you had 2 NMRs by Austria to start with which gave you the Balkans and then multiple NMRs by France which allowed you to take multiple centers from him. Anyone can recover from any situation if enough opponents NMR.

Hence, I specifically mentioned a comeback solo in a high quality game without NMRs. Perhaps it has actually never been done.

Oh wait - Germany NMRd and CDd too - so with literally everyone CDing - you were essentially playing a 2 person game with Russia :)

Every living player in gameID=93086 has made an incredible comeback at some point:

Russia had lost Sevastopol and Moscow to a Turkey-Austria alliance by 1906, had 4 SCs left but two of them were in very vulnerable positions in Germany.

Germany was down to 3 SCs in 1909, having lost two HSCs - was in a very bad position from then until about 1919 when he managed to regain his homeland.

Austria was down to 1 SC at the end of 1920, managed regain one more in 1924 and then started to recover, getting the last of his HSCs back in 1926.

Italy went down to 1 SC at the end of 1921, staying alive by hopping around from SC to SC until he took a second centre in 1926 and took his last HSC back in '29.

Regardless of who ends up winning that game, it's going to be one of the most epic comebacks on this site.

I agree with you, Shadow. I was thinking it was two centers because Russia was in Ankara but I had forgotten about Austria's NMRs and stupidity while he still played.
