Mutual Antagonism for Solo Victories

I think there need to be more solo victories. It's worth researching who your best statistical allies are beforehand.

For those of you unfamiliar with the term, Nanar basically means that something is so bad it's good. The purpose of this thread is to share works (movies, tv series, etc...) that are so bad they are good so we can all enjoy a hearty laugh. Comparing Online Diplomacy Sites

I've just joined this site, but have played online Diplomacy before at another site. I wonder why people choose the site(s) they do. For example BOUNCED has an unbeatable interface, but far fewer members than this one. Why is that?

Boy, after the earlier rounds where solos were kind of rare, now they're popping up everywhere. Did everyone just forget how to stop solos? Inquiring minds want to know. IN any event, the window is closing for us peons.

Apparently, this tournament ended with a whimper. I think the final standings are:

1) Maettu, the GRAND CHAMPION OF GUNBOAT!!!
2) rdrivera second
3) Barnett is third I think with two draws and 49 SCs overall.
4) Partysane had two draws, 27 SCs
5) y2kjbk had two draws, 25 SCs
6) Ogion with one draw

I didn't even know it was over. Congrats Maettu so impressive. I'll do up a scoring sheet with all the point totals. Not sure where the mods are with dishing out points for the solos.

Congrats Maettu, really impressive.

Well, after being the lucky loser in both round 1 and round 2, ending in second in the tend is a lot better then I can expect. Hope we can do it again next year, hopefully with less problems.

Crazy impressive actually. If you add in the survives, it's even more impressive. I think Maettu was eliminated only in one game.

Fantastic - congrats Maettu! And all the others too. Having participated in round 1 (and being gracefully kicked to the curb), I have nothing but respect for this entire crew.

If somebody can dig up the original thread in which the point rewards were agreed, please mail them to [email protected] and we'll sort it out. If I remember correctly, there was a reward per solo as well, so important to do it right.

After digging the forum, find some threads (threadID=1096101 and threadID=1178348). The PRIZES are this:

PRIZES
------------
3,500

to the winner of the tournament
1,000

to second place
500

to third place
100

for each solo victory in the tournament.

So, seems Maettu gets 3800, I get 1100 and Barnet gets 500, if I am not wrong.
