WebDiplomacy Mafia II: vDiplomacy Invasion
NOTE: The rules for this game are almost exactly the same as for the last one, but with changes to the TIE-RESOLUTION METHOD and the additions of the MOLE and QUESTION ASKER roles. If you read the rules in the last thread, you can just skip to these sections in this one, as the rest is the same. If you did not, it is strongly advised you read the whole of the below post.
The post has been copied from PE’s post (with his permission) with edits to reflect the changes.

My wife is going to be out of town with the kids. I will be home in 3 and a half hours. I have not played a live game on this site, so I thought I'd check to see interest.

Memorial Day
Only patriots need post.

Lance Corporal Robert Bolin - U.S Marine Corps - 1984-1988. I am thankful for all those sailors, soldiers, airmen, and Marines who went before, allowing me to have a life of moderate luxury in a nation where anyone who applies himself can climb the ranks.

Fuck you, YJ. Every Marine serves more than just his MOS. I did relief efforts I Earthquakes and Hurricanes. What have you done for your fellow man than be a fucking shit?

I stand outside of recruitment centers every Thursday and try to convince the kids to not die for a rich man's war. I bet I saved more lives doing that than your entire active duty!

Doubtful. Even if you are telling the truth, I doubt you have had more contact and influenced more potential recruits than the number of lives I personally passed relief packages to.

I'll go ahead and make a little hash on my notepad every time you feel the need to give me a -1 dirge, and I'll make sure to mentally subtract it from my total +1 count because your opinion is incredibly important to me. Every time you do it I'll cry a little bit on the inside, because the thought of disappointing an icon of hilarity and all around super-important fellow such as yourself just breaks my heart.

As a veteran, the fact that Draug felt the need to lead with "only patriots need post" makes me ill.

Memorial day is about remembering the fallen, not making a transparent attempt to flog your own politics.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 May 14 UTC
(+1)
@Jack - I was pissed at YJ's attack on current soldiers when Memorial Day isn't even about currently living active duty soldiers and those soldiers are following orders. So I wasn't trying to flog my own politics, but refute a deplorable, reprehensible, and outright disgusting thread by YJ, whom I have now muted for an indefinite period so he can't push me to that level again.

So forgive a fellow veteran for defending the day from a fuckwit like YJ. Please?

This whole term 'patriots' is so relative. Here in Vietnam they have a whole different perspective on that term.

War is hell.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 May 14 UTC
As I said, I was a bit angry at YJ. I should have just asked that it be reserved for positive, non-political comments. For that I am sorry.

So, if anyone is still up for it, list anyone to whom yesterday was extra poignant to you. I'm lucky. My father, uncles, and both grandfathers survived despite serving in WWII and Vietnam and my own service was during one of those rare times of peace. Only a cold war going on, not a hot one.

americans are imperialist scumbags, who murder women and children worldwide, in order to plunder foreign resources. You cowards don't even FACE your victims anymore. You send drones. You call the dead children, "bugsplat".

I'd like to hold your mother down and spit in her stinky american pussy........JUST FOR MEMORIAL DAY!

One of these days, I'll have to go read what he is actually saying. I love PE's interpretation which, knowing maple, is probably driving the one armed Canadian lumberjack to a frothing at the mouth frenzy.

PPSC Points Distribution
With regards to this game: gameID=142343

The pot was 175 D. Germany won with 22 of 34 SCs, so by my calculations Germany should win ( 22 / 34 ) * 175 = 113 D, but Germany only won 105 D (which is 60%, exactly, of the pool). Similarly, Turkey finished with 9 of 34 SCs, so Turkey should win ( 9 / 34 ) * 175 = 46 D, but won 53 D. What gives?
