Lance's Oprah interview makes him one of the worst cyclists of the 20th century.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

Yeah, he's a terrible cyclist. If you doped, he'd still beat you by 3 hours in a marathon, red.

Yeah, unless you are a professional cyclist, which means you are doping too if you ever win anything.

It may be a sport for the weak minded but I don't think Lance was.
well considering userids 1-9 are either invalid or system accounts (I was curious), that actually makes him the 49991st user on the site. The true 50,000th user is userID=50009
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Jan 13 UTC
Not true. The 50,000 user is probably way higher than that with all the banned multis. After all, a multi is the same user with multiple accounts, so 2 or more IDs but only one user.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
19 Jan 13 UTC
And considering Sarg and Sandgoose accounted for 46,302 of them, we've got a long way to go.

lol... as of 'now' Registered players: 50066 ... ( Active games: 451 + Finished games: 38688 ) = 39139
Reg. / games = 1.2791844... that is a very LOW ratio...
ghug (5068 D(B))
20 Jan 13 UTC
Remember that the average game has a tiny bit more than 7 players (the massive majority of games are Classic, and a few world games increase the average more than a few Med games decrease it), and you have an average of 9 games per person, which is not at all unreasonable.
2ndWhiteLine (2611 D(B))

Can't we just ascertain the number of "active" users by looking at the GR table?
Dharmaton (2398 D)
20 Jan 13 UTC
a big difference there, a low ratio of active members... :))

Maniac (189 D(B))

@2WL - the number of players active is listed at the bottom of the page. If they're not playing they're not active. Or do you use some other definition like active within 3 months?
Draugnar (0 DX)
20 Jan 13 UTC
But GR active doesn't mean anything as a person could be actively playing a slow phase game and fall off GR until it finishes. All time doesn't work either as it has banned players.

An All-Male Discussion on Feminism, "Feminism," and Atheism...This Should Be Fun...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKKQdJR7F_I Frankly, I think that's a fair point--these people do NOT represent a very good side of either feminism or atheism, in my opinion...there's Feminism, and then there's "Feminism" or, as it might otherwise be put, "Demanding that everyone agree with your views full stop or else libeling them." Real feminism and real atheism is, I think, being somewhat "poisoned" by this increasingly-smug, self-assured band of PC Police.

CD or hold everything?
I'm in a gunboat at the moment where one of the players - who has no shot at winning anymore - has decided to hold every turn giving SCs to the largest player, in effect throwing the game. I'd prefer if he would just CD so we can get somebody else. Are there any (un)written good practices?

I am wondering if there are people out there who would be interested in playing a game where for what ever power you take. You take on the character of that National leader e.g. England you are King George, Germany The Kaiser. Grandiose communications, and the like. What do u think.

Am I the only one on this forum who thinks tomatoes are an overrated vegetable?
It's basically a red sack of water right? I'm trying to sort of evaluate (with shear power of the mind) to determine if it really should be in the "two ounces of vegetables and two fruits" zone or in the "drink 2 liters of water a day" zone.
