So, ghug, you totally missed my point. I don't find the term offensive, but many in the world do so I don't directly use it. But, and here is the real point you missed, Many on this forum are downright mean (myself included) and comparing them to a a mentally disabled person is an injustice to all the typically nice folks who happen to have a mental disability. Most of us, as bright as we may be, are inferior human beings to many I know with mental disabilities.

P.S. I don't get why retard is ncessarily a bad term. After all, the word means to be behind the curve or slowed, as in retarding a explosion by adding in other chemicals so it doesn't grow as quickly or burn as hot. Hence, we have fire retardants. But society says it is, so I respect that.
