Russia, you had me questioning what the fuck you were doing at so many points in this game. One, you didn't help to eliminate Germany and make it a 3wd when we had the chance. But, I guess you saw it as I was still a solo threat and didn't want to risk it. Two, in A09 you had Warsaw, Moscow, Ukraine and I had Silesia. Why would you do anything else but support hold and risk the game? I really didn't have a lot of faith towards the end.

Italy, you played great. That was a pretty impressive display of ass kicking you put on.

I was also pissed at Russia at the beginning before I died. For some reason, he was helping Italy invade me (Austria) right away, which was so clearly not in his best interest.

Italy made a very aggressive opening and never stopped or let up and my hat's off to him.

I didn't move against Germany because he was the only player who had not attacked me through the game.

As for Austria, yep. I definitely ended up regretting letting Italy roll over you. I was hoping that he'd knock you out and then I'd be able to pick up some of your SCs from him. The plan fell apart once Turkey started attacking me and I had to divert my armies away from attempting to contain Italy to defending against Turkey.

Kind of surprised this didn't go to a 3-way or even 2-way. Germany should have been dead at least, and while orchestrating Russia's demise wouldn't have been easy, it still seemed possible. France in Tunisia was probably a big sticking point though.

Germany didn't attack you? He stood you out of Sweden in 01, tried to take it from you once you acquired it. He moved to Silesia twice and tried for Warsaw. If there was anybody in this game that hadn't attacked you, it was me and I only acted in response to your aggression.

Okay, guess my memory ain't perfect. To be honest, I was more concerned about a French solo. With the fleets I had in the North, I knew I'd be able to hold on to StP and thereby deny Italy his 18th SC. Whereas, I wasn't in the same position to deny France StP.

All told, my game got screwed once Turkey attacked me. I was hoping to cede the South to him and focus on the North. Once he started attacking me, I was never going to have enough units in the south to protect against him and Italy.

What was your reasoning for not just maintaining Warsaw, Ukraine, and Moscow while I was in Silesia and Berlin? Why move all of those units for no benefit and jeopardize the game?

Actually, looking back at the maps, it was a mistake on my part. I mistakenly assumed that by attacking Rum, I'd cut its support. Didn't remember that support isn't cut by a unit that is dislodged.

At that point, I was using Berlin to support Silesia which was all it needed to be protected from Italy getting any further. Combined with you holding Warsaw, Ukraine, and Moscow we had Italy stalemated there.
