Human - France (For Captain Jean-Luc Picard)
Vulcan - England (Pretty obvious)
Romulan - Italy (The Romulans dabbling anin all sides, and being based on Rome)
Klingon - Russia (a nod to their inspiration, Russia+Japan)
Cardassian - Germany (as they've been called the Nazis of Trek...)
Bajoran- Austria (To give a tricky Card-Bajoran-GER/AUS situation as neighbors)
Borg - Turkey (a rock in defense and once they get rolling, they can be unstoppable.)

Alright, I'm definitely interested. Care to explain the Vulcans as England? It seems to not be as obvious as you had suggested.

Well, they're all about logic and being refined...

And they're naturally close to the Humans...

So I dunno, I guess England/.France could go either way for Vulcans/Humans...

But I just gave France to Humanity to put them between the Vulcans and Romulans with the Cardassians on their fringe (so a lot for them to deal with) plus Picard is French...

And the Cardies are like space Nazis, so they get Germany...

So the Vulcans got England.

Sounds good to me.

But Vulcans and Romulans are technically the same species, split off many hundreds of years prior when the Vulcans chose logic and the Romulans rejected a pure logical way of life. So Vulcans as French and Humans as English would also work.

Oh, and since when are the Vulcans, who lose their minds every so often and have to run Amok exactly refined. Being logical does not make one refined.

As a BONUS for this Trek-out...

If you can, try and be a character from your race, at least part of the time in the tNG timeframe (since this is when it takes place, as we have Cardassians, Bajorans, and the Borg.)

If you're Humanity...Picard! Sisko! Janeway!
If you're the Vulcans...hey, Sarek and Spock palyed important roles again, why not?
If you're the Klingons, you have a whole host of choices--Duras and Co. Worf, Gowron...
If you're the Cardassians...Dukat would be a great choice for Diplomacy, he's made for it!
If you're the Bajorans...ummmm...Kira? Yeah, I dunno...open to ideas here...
If you're the Romulans...Sela, Vreenak (IT'S AFAAAKE!), Tomalak...maybe Nero...

And if you're the Borg...LOCUTUS...THE QUEEN...

A quick consultation of a map has informed me that Vulcan is almost directly south (direction opposite the center of the galaxy) of Earth, and Romulus is northeast. with the Klingons further south, and the Bajorans and Cardassians to the west, which wouldn't work out well if implemented on the standard diplomacy board, so we should just disregard all of that and go with the original plan. I'm fine with the Humans and Vulcans going wither way.

OK...I don't have a map to consult...lol...

But we DO want some more players...come on, folks!

I can't believe Obi would talk shit about Kira, she's much more awesome than half the people he mentioned.

Also she could probably beat him to a pulp. Unless obi is secretly like 6 feet tall and 200 pounds of pure muscle. Even then...

Also if you wanted to be slimy rather than belligerent but honest you could play the Bajorans as Kai Winn. Be all self righteous but secretly willing to do anything, and make any deal to get what you want. Which is after all, the way the game is played.

I would love to join but I preferred the original idea of having the Ferengi, they'd be much more fun and easy to stereotype and play than the Bajorans. I don't know where you'd being to characterise them.

Just babble about how it's the will of the prophets if you do well, and say the prophets have abandoned you if you do poorly.
