wow... those are great pointers! So good i've gone blind!

Before requesting:
1.) Are all the players present? If so, HIT THE UNPAUSE BUTTON and unpause it, yourself!
2.) If someone isn't unpausing and has a valid excuse, we will be reluctant to unpause unless there was discussion __before the mass pause__ on how everyone is NOT agreeing to the pause.
3.) We need a game ID (it is in the url) or the entire url to the game. We do not do lookups by name. We do not do lookups by user.

The big case that I'll be working on today is if someone hasn't logged in since last friday and there is no pause request beforehand. I would be basically unpausing because of a CD if the pause hadn't happened.

The other case is when someone is abusing the mass pause by taking the pause against the wishes of the rest of the players. Do not abuse the move. It upsets mods to have to deal with players that do this, so please be respectful of the game and the other players.

Touching yourself will do that young man.

I swear, if I could close a post until I can put in the first comment, I would. Learn some patience, geez... :P

One last point:
1.) Only one player from the game send an email. Multiple emails do not get your unpause quicker. Actually it can have the opposite effect.

Just unpause ALL games, and let it be.....let it be.....

p.s. gameID=63539 meets all of the above and is in the email line in the mod's mailbox. Thanks for what you do.

@fiedler: It is tempting, but I do not want to ruin games where a valid pause was requested and granted.

I unpaused about 20 games last night, so we're getting through them.

The best thing is if you can just unpause games yourself; it isn't that hard to do! : )

The question is how to automatically unpause without disruption, or should it just go through mods?

I think they want it to say something like: If the players in your game are too stupid to find the unpause button and press it email the game link to (mod email here). Though maybe said a little nicer, lol

What do the mods do when there is an Anonymous game, no-one voted "Pause" ever, and there has been so long a machine-made pause that some players are not attentive to the Forum request for individual "unpause" votes?

I'm getting PM's and personal emails, now and I'm getting a bit frustrated. Please email the mod email as described in the first reply to this thread.

kestas, I'd put up something like:
"If your game is still paused because of the server move, you can unpause it with an unpause vote, otherwise contact the mods thru email (found in help->rulebook). Be sure to include the gameID or URL to the game in the email."

What FK suggested sounds good. Having the mods unpause it seems fine. It's only slow because people don't know what to do. If we get the right info, I can unpause a game in under 15 seconds, so it isn't that time consuming.
