Also looking to get a competitive but friendly non-anon game going. I really enjoyed the last non-anon game I played even though I lost. More personal and laid back. I haven't made the game yet because I don't know what specifics people want but I was thinking 2 day phases and whatever bet works for people.

I'd rather play non-anon, as I'm still trying to wrap my brains around the types of strategies I can associate to certain names! Any kind of bet I can afford is fine with me. And 36h phases/WTA is also good for me.

Thanks for the comment regarding my stats. I do think you're overly generous in your assessment, however! As some so aptly pointed out recently (see the "undefeated" thread in the forum), there's nothing to brag about when you've played a limited number of games, most of which not including top-seeded players. I'm sure a few guys here will make sure I learn this lesson well before too long!

I'm good with those params, although 48 (2 full days) might be nicer. I've never understood a reason for 36 hours, honestly. But I'll play as little as 24.

Oh, and don't forget, everyone *must* speak fluent Quenyan (or Black Speak, but I doubt many know that beyond Sauron and the Istari). ;-)

I'm not real picky on the parameters as long as I have the points, but I do prefer a "full day" phase length because I think in full days. I almost got screwed in a game I was in because I thought it was 48 hours and it was only 36. But thankfully, I triggered a retreat phase that...

...oh, Draug and Tom were there, never mind.

I always play 36 hour games as if they were 1 day games.

The reasoning for 36 hrs for me is that you get 18+ hours of awake time to deal, with up around 24. Even you sleep twice during the phase (9 hour sleep time), you still get something like 17 or 18 hours to diplome.
