S 01: alright, germany again. I can handle that. Won with the G-man yesterday (wow, I play way too much on this site), and I see no need to change a winning formula. Support PAR-BUR to get a nice F/G going early. Decide on SWE in fall, but inclination is to support R in to pile up on the englishman. England, you better get orders in! No? well, I’ll still offer friendship to France – he’d have the advantage in a f/g war without England.
F 01: oh england, you rotter. Well that spoils it. Cancel vote up. come on, people! Will bounce R if don’t cancel as no longer need his support. Nice moves from france. Won’t move mun toward bel as I expect f to take with ec. Can poise for moves to sil/pru next spring since russia will hopefully be my biggest threat with no E and friendly F. I’m confident I can mop up scandinavia and russia quickly before f becomes big problem.
B 01: very good moves from france. It might take him a while to cash in on England, which I need. It will really be a race between me and him to see who expands fastest – the winner will be able to destroy the other. A lot will depend on russia’s build. Stp would be bad for me, but I have little hope it won’t be. Strange boh move from aus… glad t is showing anti-russian.
S 02: hmmm… not at all sure what I think of F’s builds. I’d have expected a fleet to go after England, and those armies aren’t really non-threatening. But I can see how they might be seen as friendly – fleets would certainly pose a threat, too. Also, I guess he’s thinking his por build this year will provide any fleets necessary. Glad r didn’t build stp, but it was a misktake, imho. Will follow through russian assault. Hol-Ruh should be enough to cover things back home. And seriously guys, why arent we canceling?
F 02: well, not exactly friendly from france. Gotta take a chance on it, though. Probably they were defensive moves. Also, it’s a lot to risk from him when I might just pull sil back. I think he’ll convooy to wales. Russia is manhandling turkey down south, so I’m glad I’m getting warsaw. Important to be the first to break g/r peace. Will get build even if lose hol to france, which is good, and nth/nor will be mine next year. Take swe from den as can’t have russia in bal. cover mun not hol as aus may try for it too. + war is past stalemate line long-term
B 02: really hope russia disbands the fleet, and he very well might. Russian threat has been completely neutralized, and france has an army stuck in portugal. If I build a fleet now, I’ll have the naval supremacy. I’ve already won the race, I think. Best to leave r to hold off t and switch to france while I have the initiative. Fleet k army ber lets me get ruh, hol, mun now, hopefully. Fleet build is a bit of a giveaway but so be it.
S 03: good builds. If france tries for lon from ec so as to keep wal in position to get lvp, I might even get bel this year. Long shot, though. Anyway, will certainly get norway and nth. Will let Russia hold T for a bit, signal support with warsaw. Keep sil in place in case R goes after war, but can hold it indefinitely. I like the way the east is just picking non-conclusive fights. Whoever comes out on top between me and f will have good solo prospects if continues. And I’m already past stalemate.
F 03: touche, france. Well called. Hope italy switches focus to france; that would be a game-changer. And the aus campaign is going nowhere. Will try for bur and hol. Guaranteed one. May not get nth but will next year. It’d be nice if pie stalls that spa army in mar.
B 03: oh for goodness’ sake, italy. I’ve lost faith in your skills now. Do you really think that’s doing anything in the long-run? Messes me up royally, though. And france didn’t cover MAR!??? craziness. Wonder if they’re multi’s? bet they are.
S 04: seiously though, why isn’t this canceled? Anyway, I could retake mun and cover kie-ber, but I don’t want to. I’d lose too much ititiative with France. He’s the bigger threat. I won’t pull bur out. Let him bounce it if he dares. Clearly there’s no going back with france, now, will just have to rely on my tactical acumen to win the day. Bur-mar in case he tries to go to par/gas/mar/pic and ruh-bel cut support ec. Sil-mun to make sure italy doesn’t gain an sc. Nor-nwg to try and steal a edi builds. Risks nth but france can’t take without relinquishing lvp for now, and I don’t think he will.
F 04: well, I was wrong, but france is losing umm.. two units, so I’ll take the trade. Clearly inexperienced leaving mar open like that. That being the case, I’ll take a chance and go for glory here. Cut nth and bur and hol bel. If all goes well I’ll hold mar and bel and force two disbands. Of course, if all goes badly I’ll lose both, but that would require very astute moves from france that quite frankly I think are beyond him. I like austria’s moves, a lot. Of course by moving sil-mun I run the risk of having only one spott to build. And if f wanted to be mean he would move bur-mun, but again I don’t think I have to worry about that. Could cut pie for aus but run the risk of pie-tyl and losing mar.
B 04: france’s disbands will be HUGE here. With my two builds I can get rid of that pesky munich, huzzah, but now I worry about the size of austria, who I suspect is smiley. A formiddable opponent when the time comes. Russia better not bail on us… btw, if we get to 06 I’m taking back my cancel vote. Fleet kiel to cover stuff from nth. If italy is feeling remnorseful he’ll disband mun, but I doubt he will. If he did, though, I’d be tempted to let him keep it for now to fight aus.
S 05: you wazzerk italy. That was absolutely the worst possible idea. If he holds mun and italy doesn’t cut (I wouldn’t in his shoes) that would be seriously annoying. i/r seem on a quest to throw this to a. will try for spa to increase chance of getting french build. Don’t want to force nth yet to prevent spring retreat, but will cut to make sure can’t get edi without giving it up. Can’t move kie to prevent mun retreat.
F 05: well, france has edi, but the positional battle is definitively won. Ec is mine. It was a mistake to disband the second fleet, france. If I’m lucky I’ll get bur now, too. It’s all over but the crying. Thx italy for not messing me up, again.
B 05: for the record italy, I don’t like you france, don’t know why you didn’t cover london, but maybe I should have guessed considering you didn’t cover marseilles earlier. Russia is not long for this world, but I must be wary of stp-nor at some point. Need an army to go to MUN while Mun does stuff, I guess. Berlin not kie in case it needs to go east for whatever reason.
S 06: as promised, cancel off the table. And frickity frickity frick frick frick france! Don’t do this too me. No way I cancel if france goes. Draw to see who was who. Which is frustrating because I actually believe I had a very, very good chance at a solo if france had stayed. In fact I’m almost positive I would have won. Wonder what the thics commission would say on this?
