I confess to cheating my local Council's asinine new rule that I am only allowed one 240 litre "green waste" (garden prunings etc) per four weeks, and this week managed to get rid of 1,560 litres of prunings etc, six 240 litre bins and one "half size" 120 litre bin. By using, with consent in several cases, the unused green bins of neighbouring properties. This is not the first time I have cheated and used multiple green bins.

@wpfeips, please don't encourage the taking and spreading of photos which people do not consent to share. That is an invasion of privacy, and a encourages distegarding people's consent.

No Smokey Gem, I'm a different galah. And I know my neighborhood well. With the green bins I make preparations well before "collection" day, so my two bins were full in advance.. one of those gets put out in front of a nearby property, with permission. Then on the last day before collection I "round up" the unused green bins and have a "big gardening day".
I have an acquaintance who has a "seafood restaurant bin round"... he goes around those bins and extracts all the fish heads etc, filling large plastic containers in the back of his utility (pickup) and taking the fish heads, guts, etc off to his small farm and uses this stuff as fertiliser for his vegetable gardens. So he is constantly preparing new "garden beds" for growing vegetables. Why pay companies like Monsanto for their "fertiliser products" when you can get far better fertiliser for just the cost of going around and collecting the "raw ingredients" ?
