So, I think that by far the most likely explanation for this is that he's a kid fucking around and trying to be entertaining. The story is overly dramatic, and, frankly, full of plot holes, so it doesn't seem particularly likely that it's true.

With that in mind, I think he should be allowed back if he admits to the mods that he was lying.

Were attempts made to contact Legion via PM/E-mail and simply ask him to discontinue the joke? If the mods feel it was inappropriate fine, but the odds that its true are just.... mindbogglingly small to be taking this sort of action.

I think he is on vdip now which would mean it wasn't true.. he is entitled to the warning first if this was just a joke no? so something like silencing, but not banning?

@stupidfighter, we gave him plenty of chances to explain what was going on, and we received more and more nonsensical emails in reply. If his story is true then he used the site to try to arrange a fight and the police, and now apparently government agencies, are investigating the case. If it's not true then he's a pathological liar who won't come clean. There's nothing to do there either way.

@KingCyrus, no, that would be essentially the same as circumventing a silence.

I'm still 100% convinced this was a joke. However, if he refused to 'drop character' even in private conversation, then that's a little messed up.

While I feel bad that it came to banning a generally upstanding member of the community, it appears he brought it on himself.

One caveat however- if he decides to drop the joke, he should be unbanned. Everyone makes bad judgment calls sometimes, if Legion can own up to that, I can see no reason to keep him out.,

I would also like to add, this thread amused me quite a bit. Legion, if you're lurking, good show. Just don't let it ruin your standing in the community man.

It's not. Banned players are prohibited from communicating via the site and that would be working around the ban, which would only lead to more trouble.

So is there a legal way to hear the message. Like if it was posted on vdip (where Legion is not banned) we could see it, right?
