getting back in to Combat Mission
haven't played for a long time since I'm on a Mac and the classic CM games don't work anymore. I'm excited to see Battlefront has come out with new WWII CM. But they're a bit pricy. Not sure if I should get Normandy or Fortress Italy? Anyone play these games?

Alacriousness
Problem of politicians regarding Syria: the alacrity to do something. If Cameron and co just hold their breaths for a second, wait for what the UN has to say, wait for what other nations have to say, they'll get their mandate. There's simply no rush.

A Punny Thread
To start, I will make a pun. The next post contains a pun based on the pun made in the OP, and the next post contains one based on the previous post.

So I'll start with a marbleous pun.

Stoned? In Vancouver? I didn't think they allowed capital punishment. Have you been assaulting betrothed damsels again, or did you sacrifice one of your children to Molech?

Hecks, just look at the Bible. It outlaws such treatment.

"If a man lies with a man as he would with a woman, they should both be stoned."

- Leviticus 20:13

In reality, the Bible isn't telling us to use capital punishment; it's just saying that gay marriage and pot should be legalized at the same time.

Those disciples were very wise, eh Draug?
Draugnar (0 DX)
29 Aug 13 UTC
Well, Leviticus wasn't written by any disciples or aposdtles for that matter. It pre-dates Christ by a few thousand years.
hecks (164 D)
29 Aug 13 UTC
I assume BoSox was implying that the disciples were wisely exploiting that loophole, toking up and going to town on each other.
Draugnar (0 DX)
29 Aug 13 UTC
I always figured the Disciples for passing araound MAry Magdelene and that Judas was pissed cause they bogarted her and the weed and he felt he never got his fair share of "heaven".
hecks (164 D)
29 Aug 13 UTC
@Draug,
No way. It was a gay love triangle. You wonder why Judas went to the pharisees right after the Last Supper? Because, "there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved." (John 13:23). Judas was a man spurned.

Hey, He had a great sense of humor. He compared prayer to the Father to pestering your neighbor for bread in the middle of the night and pointed out that, even if your neighbor initialy said "Go away! I'm in bed!" that your constant knocking would eventually get him to give you the bread so you would go away.
Thucydides (864 D(B))

I have a question - if a man who is sincere about becoming a Christian prays to accept Jesus' salvation while tied to mock crucifix with a t-shirt than in blood font reads "BUDDY CHRIST" and has a pic of Buddy Christ on it, while the song I linked above is playing the back.

Does he still go to heaven?

Assume we know nothing about how he came to be in such a situation and only know that he is sincere in his prayer.

Just a fun thought theological experiment.

@hecks ... exactly what I was implying. Genesis and Leviticus are primarily Semite/early Hebrew stories as for as I'm concerned.
