Does webDiplomacy keep statistics on how many times each country wins on its site?
I was just wondering whether these statistics are kept, and if they are, what it might show about bias towards a particular country.

What if the mods just listed the other banned accounts' names/ids on a banned users profiles. I'm not talking about listing any accounts that the mods may have allowed to continue, just the others banned at the same time for multi or metagaming.

Need Help- Who do I go to?
I am in a game where it will not let me convoy or do any orders related to the convoy (like support). I keep getting script errors and it says that my orders are incomplete. I have eight hours until the next turn and I am super close to nabbing the win. Does anyone know who I would ask for help?

Calvin Coolidge
It seems that no one recognizes the good that Coolidge did. He was a pure capitalist, which means he lowered taxes (to 1.125% on the lowest bracket), and he cut spending drastically. All this led to the greatest boom in American history. Unfortunately, his successor raised taxes to outrageous levels (63% on the top bracket), and began spending more. All this led to the worst depression in US history, though FDR prolonged it. So why doesnt anyone give Coolidge credit?

You all just don't understand key detain thought there's nothing I can do to help you, sorry.

If running a deficit=Keynesian (which it doesn't) then yes fdr was Keynesian. You win.

Yeah, ok, whatever. I have better things to do than try to fit Roosevelt into the box that you define as Keynesian.

Yeah, fit him into a box you call Keynesian. At least my box is based on actual Keynesian thought

@ HW - What is up, brother? I'm sitting here trying to have an intelligent conversation, asking questions, conceding points, sharing my own view as well, and you have to carry on about how stupid I am. I'm TRYING to gain understanding of an obviously complex issue, but obviously I come from a different perspective so I'm not just gobbling up everything you say as gospel. Is that okay? Or do I have to instantly agree with everything you say in order for us to have a conversation? What kind of conversation would that be, anyway?
HumanWave (337 D)
09 May 13 UTC
I never said you were stupid I'm saying you don't understand what I am saying. And I wasn't addressing you I'm addressing dip.

"You all just don't understand key detain thought there's nothing I can do to help you, sorry."

The phrase "you *all*" would seem to include more than dipp. And I would disagree that we don't understand Keynesian thought. I think that what we're both saying is that we understand it but we think that FDR was a proto-Keynesian and we don't buy that he ever intended to balance the budget. Of course, proving the *intentions* of a man who died 70 years ago is pretty challenging, so we may be at an impasse there.
HumanWave (337 D)
09 May 13 UTC
Again you don't understand. He DID try to balance the budget. He made cuts with the express purpose of balancing the budget. We have letters bw him and morganthau on how they were doing so. This isn't about intentions he took actions and then the economy fell out
FlemGem (1297 D)

Again, I do understand. FDR acted as a proto-Keynesian for several years, made a brief attempt at balancing the budget, and then adopted explicitly Keynesian policies as soon as the budget balancing seemed to be going poorly. So in 12 years in office he spent a very small amount of time pursuing a balanced budget, and a great deal of time pursuing proto or explicitly Keynesian policies. And in general, FDR is seen as consistently promoting the ideas of "big government" intervention is many phases of life. This is enough to make some of us *suspect* his intentions. Does that make sense?

Anyway, if you have more information to shed light on the subject, I would be happy to hear it. It's really quite an interesting topic to me. But I would also be happy if you can share it without comments like "you don't understand" and "your ideas are bastardized" and other such anti-social quips - fair enough?

What is a Keynesian flemgem give me your definition.

"Keynes called for perpetual deficits with government spending used to stimulate consumers and markets."

I think that sums up my understanding pretty succinctly.

"You do know that FDR was elected *after* the Depression started, right?"
You do know that FDR prolonged the depression, not started it, right?

Calvin Coolidge was the last president who understood that the words of the president carry immense power and are not to be used indiscriminately.
