However, a great number of Polish men and women gave their lives for the allies in the war. That the Soviet Union was allowed to annex the country when the Nazi's departed and as such the polish were not represented at the victory parade is something that British and American citizens should be very grateful for. The bargaining and agreements that secured Soviet support against the Nazi's were great for us, but condemned others to a life under occupation.
