For the tetrahedron one, I think the following works:

Call the spiders A, B, and C starting on vertices a, b, and c (with the last one called d). Have A go along ab to B, then have it return to a. (So the fly is not on ab) Have C do the same along cb then back to c (now it is not on ab or cb). Have B go to d (now not on ab, bc, or bd). Have A and C do the same visit to B like before. After this, the fly must be on ac, so go get him with A and C meeting in the middle.

That doesn't work either, say B goes to A first, the fly will be on cd at the time and have the option to escape to any line except ad and ac.
