Since I'm aware of what is happening in this thread and yet have taken no action, I think it's fair to say no one has breached any rules.

I dunno, you might have taken action *really quietly* or warned Draugnar using invisible text only viewable by squeezing lemon juice onto the computer screen, or suchlike.

Back a ways, a year or 18 months ago, Split had the reputation of taking advantage of CDs to solo. Not that he did it every time, but he did it often. I have personally seen it, and it wasn't uncommon for people to post about it in the forums. I have not played a game with him since I've been back (I didn't know he still played, to be honest), so I couldn't say how often he still does it.

That being said, he is a very good player. I respect his skill, but I don't always respect the way he plays the game.

On a lighter note, I think the whole "SplitDiplomat barely speaks English" rumor has solidly been debunked in this thread.

Nope. Not in 20% of my games nor in 2% of my games. The only CDs in games I generally play are quitters with one SC left, and those are fewer than 20% of my games because *I* play with honorable players (even if some of them are assholes) and nearly all my games are private games.

You aren't always in the right place at the right time. I assume you are around nations who are in CD approximately the same amount of time as anyone. The difference is that the majority of people will draw when that happens. That's how you take advantage of it more than other people.

This thread is about an accusation based on the lies by the two scumbags that I didn't vote cancel in a ruined game.And the only true is that only me and Austria have immediatly voted it after first spring NMR.All the others had nothing.France voted draw in the spring '02 and then left the game when saw England and Germany didn't want it but joined against him.Only after when they realized what would happen they both voted draw/cancel.And then I pulled off my cancel vote.

So I remembered it a little wrong, SD didn't have a "massive" advantage from the Italian CD in this game. He still profited from it and was a serious threat to win, but despite Turkey sniping me in the back I stomped him and won.

Congrats on the victory, PE. Apart from showing you know your way around the gunboat I am not sure what else you are saying. You beat him in that game, but I am not sure you were the underdog you are still making yourself out to be.

There is a whole boatload of grey area when it comes to CDs in live games. I tend to follow the 2wl protocol of cancel until i feel like i've wasted enough time on a ruined game. Then I just play through.

A tip for those of you who love complaining. Read the board every. A CD should NOT be in favour of anyone, its open information it is your fault if you don't adjust. If buddy beside you is the idiot who can't stop fighting you and adjust, get pissed at him. If he's dumb enough to do that, he's probably also dumb enough to have not recognized the earlier CD and thus not voted draw.

Complaining on the forum like most in this thread is just pathetic. Grow up and deal with your problems.

Not really. I find sanctimonious purists to be far more perturbing. Dealing with low quality players is, in my opinion, part of street ball. If you can't handle street ball, perhaps league play is for you?
