The Last Damn NFL Thread (Until the Next One, Of Course)
http://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/Does-Seahawks-win-mean-49ers-are-second-best-5201416.php So...we all know that was about as big an ass-kick as you'll ever see in the Super Bowl (tied for the 3rd biggest blowout with the 52-17 beat down the '92 Cowboys gave the Bills.) They're talking (OH GOD NO!) *DYNASTY* in Seattle...buy it? Buy the 49ers as the #2 team? (Thanks, Richard Sherman.) :p What about Cam's Panthers? Is the AFC toast? What's your takeaway?

YJ - Is the truth that infuriating? I know... oscar-the-144 is probably quivering in rage somewhere, but having reality thrust upon him - while disturbing, I'm sure - is really bet for him in the long run.

and...lest we be side-tracked too long....the Liberals lose this one - Wage Gap vs. Women's Right to Equal Pay......the judge line up....tally up the score card....listen to the deafening silence of Democrat America and....

....DING DING DING!!!! Wins the Day!!! Oh my word...if you are squeemish, folks, it's time to look away...oh my word...the para-medics are rushing in. Oh what a bloody mess. and...and...<oh the horror...> her skirt is torn and...yes...it appears Akerson has left some sort of...of...fluid on her....Oh lord in heaven...he's probably going to make more in CONSULTING FEES the first year than Barra's first year base salary...Oh the humiliation...the shame...the blatant, awful sexism on parade...

http://www.thedetroitbureau.com/2014/01/even-at-4-4-mil-new-gm-ceo-mary-barras-pay-may-suffer-from-gender-inequality/

"And Akerson will continue to out-earn Barra, at least for the time being. Though he retired last week – months ahead of the original plan due to his wife’s serious bout with cancer – the former Navy pilot will remain a GM consultant for which his base salary will be larger than Barra’s, according to GM documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission."

There are plenty of facts in politics. Your statement is just wishful thinking as like any good conservative you would like there to be no facts in politics.

Give me a political issue that is pure fact. You may back your views up with facts, but your views are still opinion. You cannot give a single issue that is a cold hard fact.

Thanks Draug, you just admitted that facts play a role. I never said it was only about facts. I just responded to you and krellin falsely claiming that it is only about perception. I'm glad to see that you have now come to your senses about this.
Draugnar (0 DX)
06 Feb 14 UTC
The positions taken aren't about facts is what I am saying. For instance.

Fact: Global climate change is occurring.
Position (opinion): Mankind is a major contributor to this change.

The models have not borne out this supposition so it is still opinion that man is a key factor in climate change. Therefore, this liberal stance is *opinion*. just like every other position in politics. Facts may be used just as statistics are, but the positions are always still opinion because both sides have their "facts".

lol ...just have to chuckle and the Libnial going on here. That, for those of you unwise in the Krelly-speak, would be Liberal Denial...this is a mental state that is damned near a catatonic state of existence when world collide -- when, for example, two strongly held emotioanlly-based belief come colliding together in a paradoxical way, wherein the truth of one belief must necessarily negate the truth of the other...cuasing a state of "Libnial", in which the most likely resort is that otherwise kind-hearted, noble, loud, beligerent, insulting Liberals falls deathly silent...or in another form of Libnial, just spew nonsense with seemingly-related issues that, in fact, bear no connection to the issue causing the Libnial. This second form of Libnial is actually the most dangerous, as instead of an internal conflict causing the Liberal to question his beliefs, this second form of Libnial actually causing the Liberal to convince himself that what he is seeing is in fact something else, allowing the paradoxical beliefs to go unchecked and unquestioned in his mind.

You will witness both forms of Libnial here for those that care to examine the flapping jaws and wagging tongues...or not witness the silent fingers...of the various usual suspects of Libtardism.

"chuckle *AT* the Libnial going on here..."
krellin (80 DX)
06 Feb 14 UTC
One classic example of Libnial witnessed here tonight would be this: A statement is made that there is perhaps a strong possibility that SEXISM exists in the decision to pay the first Female CEO of GM 48% of the former male CEO's pay...and in fact for that same female CEO to be paid less base pay than the same former male CEO will be paid to simply act as a consultant!!! In a non-scientific survey of women -- mostly conservative women of all thing -- conducted by the person putting forth this idea found almost universal agreement that this stinks of sexism.

IN a blatant act of Libnial, one can look above and see one of the usual suspects of Libtardism flapping about and frothing in what appears to be seizure, perhaps, and <here's the Libnial> proclaiming that it is sexist to point out the the grossly unequal pay...in other words, said Libtard's state of Libnial is in fact, by default, saying woman getting half the pay of men is perfectly acceptable behavior.

Sigh....I wish there were a pill to cure Libnial so that said Libtard doesn't get kicked out of the club. I mean, he's a silly fool, but I'd hate to see his own kind reject him and leave him homeless...

"Fact: Global climate change is occurring.
Position (opinion): Mankind is a major contributor to this change."

Silly, silly, Draugnar. Speaking of denial. My God you are ignorant. It is a well established scientific fact that mankind is the major contributor to climate change. Why can I say this so confidently? Well for a number of reasons. Here is one of them:

Plants prefer the C12 isotope of carbon over the C13 isotope, because it binds easier. Therefore the C12/C13 ratio in plant material (such as fossil fuels) is higher than in the atmosphere. It is both a fact that the carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere is rising as well as that the C12/C13 ratio of the carbon in the atmosphere is rising. The only logical explanation for this is that plant material is releasing its carbon into the atmosphere, which is exactly what you would expect when you burn fossil fuels and engage in large scale deforestation, as mankind has been doing. Not a single climate skeptic has proposed any theory that comes even close to explaining by what process this would happen if not by the burning fossil fuels and deforestation, i.e by mankind.

In the face of a coherent theory that explains all the facts you can't just go and say that it is an opinion and expect anyone in their sane mind to take you seriously. You have to at least provide an alternative explanation for the process by which the carbon-dioxide levels in the atmosphere would rise as well as the C12/C13 ratio without mankind being a major influence. Well, let's have it Draugnar. What is your alternative explanation? You don't have one now do you? Nope. Scientist way smarter than you have tried to come up with one and failed.

So, what you should have said is
1. It is a fact that the climate is changing.
2. It is a fact that mankind is a major contributor to this change.
3. It is an opinion whether or not we should do something about it, what should be done about it and who exactly should do it.

Thucy -- seriously, fuck off. contribute to the thread, or fuck off.

That you, Mr. Equality for All, are silent on this topic is *all* I have to see to know I am right. That you have not come here with you typical guns-a-blazing if proof enough that you have no input.

As for your other tired boring accusations....show me some proof, fag boy.

Ahhhhhh ha ha ha ha ha. Fag boy...that should piss Thucy off...it's an insult becuase he looks down on homosexuals...THUCY is the homophobe, you see.

If, for example, I had called him "Honky", he would yawn and shrug and say, "So what...a derogatory name for white. I'm a PROUD WHITE MAN..." and the degoratory name wouldn't offend him.

Call him homo....call him pretty....Oh...THOSE insults *sting*...Why? Because THucy the Noble Bigot looks down on those sub-categories of humanity...

Right, Thucwad?

And thanks for coming in with your off-topic post, Thucwad...Exactly what I would expect from the whiny douche that love to cry about the trolls. <rolls eye....> Seriously, Thucy,...fuck off, you dim-witted fool, before I shame you again.

Do people choose their political and economic allegiances based on logic and reason?
Or do they have an innate sense of what actions they’d prefer to do or have done, and choose the political and economic philosophies that say these actions are the steps that need to be taken to solve society’s problems?
