They're talking (OH GOD NO!) *DYNASTY* in Seattle...buy it? Buy the 49ers as the #2 team? (Thanks, Richard Sherman.) :p What about Cam's Panthers? Is the AFC toast? What's your takeaway?

New person needs help

I just joined my first game, (online, I have played many times before on a board) and my game doesn't seem to be doing anything.. I am asked to vote on either 1. draw, 2. cancel, or 3. pause. I don't know what this means... Any help please?

I'm reading a French book and I can't quite figure out this sentence:

"Il fait quelques pas en arrière, hésite puis revient le corps."

I know what most of the words mean but I can't figure out the meaning of the sentence.

How to set up a private game?

Could you please walk me through how to set up a private game that is password protected for all members?

Huh? Just set up a new game. There are two password slots on the bottom of the form. Enter your password in both and voila.

Click New Game in the top-right.

Click Open Advanced Settings and you'll be given an option to add a password.

I did all the above but I can't find my game. Thought I did something wrong. Is there a delay before the game becomes playable? It has been a long time hasn't it ;>}

You either did not make the game or you set the Join Phase too low and the game was cancelled because no one joined. Give it another try.

Error found. I am using bit size "0" and that is not allowed. I am using this as a class project for my in students and none of my students have anything to bet. Suggestions here please?

They will all register the same day that I give them their password to start playing. Two questions: will they each get 100 and will there be a time delay for registration or will they be able to play right away?

Yes, new accounts are given 100

to start.

They will be able to join games instantly after registering.

When you create the game, make sure to make the Join Length (not the phase length) long enough so all 7 players have time to join the game.

Thanks. I hope to not only teach my students how to think up to fourth intention or beyond, like chess, but turn them into Diplomacy players who will love the game as much as we do.

Thanks Mapu, I'll do that. Now, some of my old teachers want to play as well and they have registered years ago and don't remember their log-on or password. Where is the "If you don't remember your log-on or password, click here" message? How they they retrieve them?

How do people choose their politics and economics?

Do people choose their political and economic allegiances based on logic and reason?
Or do they have an innate sense of what actions they’d prefer to do or have done, and choose the political and economic philosophies that say these actions are the steps that need to be taken to solve society’s problems?
