Minimum players in classic game
Hi all, my first time creating a game on my own. Is there a way to set the game to only 4 or 5 players for a private game? I didn't see any option and it shows "game will start when all 7 players have joined" now. Thanks for any help!!

Chat history
I really want to review all the messages I sent to someone, but the history logs appear limited. Are they just gone, or is there any way to see the full message logs with a player from a game?

Question concerning game rules (pms)
Hi there! I need a public and official reply by a MODERATOR.
If you play a match without anonymous players, but even without private chat (only team chat): Is it allowed to write the other players private messages in order to negotiate? In my opinion everbody see the names of the other players and everybody can write to the other players, so it is a fair system. It is a very important part of this game to negotiate, you know.
How are the official rules?

WebDiplomacy Website Buy-In/Ownership
Just a question that I have, not too sure if anyone can answer them. I have been pondering how people own the site. I know that you can become part of the Moderator/Admin Team or donate to the site, but how would someone go about purchasing the Web Diplomacy site?

Should Capitol Police protection be extended to all members of Congress?
At the Scalise incident this morning, the Capitol police were present only because Scalise was there. Without them, the shooter would have had a clear field until Alexandria police arrived. Shouldn't the Capitol Police protect EVERY large gathering of Congressmen?

I've never cancelled a game before, but i'm wondering, if you cancel a game, will you get your starting coins back? Say you bid 10, will you get 10 back when you cancel? Also, what about if you take over a civil disorder?

The Last Known World Game
I just finished up the second to last Known World game, http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=187834, on 36 hour phases, which we probably played a few years further than we might have for that honor. This leaves one 10-day phase game in a still relatively early state, http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=187877

V for Vendetta was entertaining, but I can perhaps admit it wasn't "good" in a film critic sense.

The same cannot be said of the Matrix, however. Give me an actual argument on that one.
I can stomach Virus for Vendetta losing here. But the Matrix losing would be an actual travesty

Flum, what groundbreaking innovation did Circle bring that fundamentally changed movies afterward?
And moreover, the Matrix asks philosophical questions in a much less ham-fisted manner, has characters you actually enjoy, and the script isn't clunky garbage.
And oh, an actual story too. The whole positive behind Circle is that it asks fundamental questions on human nature and the prejudices in society. If the Matrix can be better at being philosophical while also having an actual plot, why is it worse?

The thing about the Matrix is that it tries to be a great movie, but the second half brings it down. The Matrix stinks because the first half is so good, and the second half just turns into a weird action movie where everyone wears leather and they forgot about all the interesting parts of the first half. Its so disappointing.
It's not without flaws. But that makes it worse than a low-budget, poorly executed and poorly received movie? Because it started off stronger than it finished?

Also let's just point out how horribly overhyped The Matrix is, which instantly degrades it, and end with two words:

Reloaded.
Revolutions.

Allright. More movie griping. V for Vendetta is not a good movie. In fact it shares some of the complaints I presented with the Matrix. Where the Matrix is a good movie for the first half with an original premise, and some thought provoking ideas (which gets completely undone by nonsensical action scenes, abysmal acting, and a bad conclusion), V for Vendetta is undone by being consistently bad throughout. It has better acting, but again relies on dumb action gimmicks to make it appear interesting.

In reality V for Vendetta is like 1984 made for pre-schoolers. It thinks the audience is so dumb that they can't possibly comprehend a complex movie. The topic should be deep but the movie instead beats you over the head for eternity with the most simplistic, black and white viewpoint. It is nauseating. It's just anarchy porn for morons. The best thing I can say about it is that it has some really good lighting effects...

Also, poor Hugo Weaving. He's not even that bad an actor - but these movies suck.
