The Great Chase--12 Teams, 1 Goal...The Road to the Super Bowl...PLAYOFF PICK 'EM!
RGIII and the Redskins partied like it was 1999 again! Adrian Peterson came up 9 YDs short of a record, but just got the Vikings in! Peyton's Broncons keep rising and Houston keeps slip-sliding away! Seattle won the division by my Niners are STILL Division Chaps! 12 teams, 2 Super Bowl Contenders...WILD CARD! DIVISION! CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS! SUPER BOWL! PLAYOFF PICK 'EM!

Dalton to about anyone he wants to throw to. They can double and triple team AJ Green. Dalton will just hit one of those guys the other side never suspects. :-)
Couldn't have put it better myself, to stop AJ they need to consistently at LEAST double team him, and this just opens up the other receivers who Dalton has been finding with some regularity. Throw in what's been in my opinion a pretty decent defense and we are stronger than people think; perfect given the Texans are on a terrible run of form.

I find it Ironic that they are at 10 and 6, the same as the Raves, yet are ranked 6th in the conference because of who beat them. But considering their road record is spectacular, I'm actually hopeful they could get through at least the first two games although NE will be a hard fought game.
The 6th ranking is ridiculous, but we have a really good chance to make a good run with everything considered.

Wild Card:
Colts v. Ravens: Colts
Bengals v. Texans: Texans
Seahawks v. Redskins: Redskins
Vikings v. Packers: Vikings

Division:
Broncos v. Colts: Broncos
Patriots v. Texans: Patriots
Redskins v. Falcons: Redskins
49ers v. Packers: Packers

Conference:
Broncos v. Patriots: Broncos
Packers v. Redskins: Redskins

Super Bowl:
Broncos v. Redskins: Broncos

Just saying... RG3 is a powerful quarterback and with him and Morris, the Skins should be able to squeak into the playoffs(winning all of the games by 7 or less)... the Broncos are way to hot for the Colts and Pats to pull it off, and the superbowl will be a 34-27 win for Peyton in his first year on a new team.

Dear Cincinnati,

The Texans have one of the worst pass defenses in the history of the NFL. It would be the worst without Watt and Antonio Smith on the line. If you can contain the defensive line as the Colts did (1 sack, not by Watt), you will win, and probably throw a 70-yard bomb to a guy like AJ Green on a third-and-23 (like the Colts did) because the Texans can play nothing but man defense and are slow on the outside. Contain the two ends and you will pass for 400 yards and 12 TDs.

Sincerely,
Colts fans

Hey Butterhead, you have the Vikings beating the packers, yet somehow the packers keep going....lol

Was that supposed to be packers beating the Vikings?

Wild Card Round:

CIN@HOU--Houston has been in a slump, losing 3 of its last 4. Cincinnati has a strong defense, however its offense is pretty unreliable..I mean, Cincy almost lost to Baltimore yesterday and Baltimore was resting Flacco, Rice, and other key starters. This will be an ugly game, and whoever wins it will surely lose in the Divisional Round.
Houston 20, Cincinnati 24

MIN@GB--I think Adrian deserves MVP just as much as Peyton. Perhaps a co-MVP award? After all, the Vikes would be sub .500 without All Day. The Vikings' problem is the pass; both offensively, and defensively. Unfortunately, they're playing at Green Bay against one of the most potent passing games in the NFL with A-Rod and co.
Green Bay 38, Minnesota 27

IND@BAL--Coach Chuckstrong was the Raven's Defensive Coordinator before, so he of all people will know the weaknesses of a Raven's D that is a shell of what it was before. True, Indy has a susceptible pass defense but the Raven's offense runs thru Ray Rice, not Joe Flacco.
Baltimore 17, Indianapolis 23

SEA@WAS--arguably the most exciting game of the weekend to look forward to. Their offenses are mirror images of each other; RG3 and Russel Wilson, Marshawn Lynch and Alfred Morris, a receiving core that lacks a big name, and strong offensive lines. I think that the deciding factor will be the defenses. That being said, Seattle's defense beats Washington's defense hands down.
Washington 34, Seattle 41

MVP = Adrian Peterson
Coach of the Year = Bruce Arians
Comeback POTY = Peyton/AP
Exec OTY = Ryan Grigson

That's all.

Anticipated Divisional Round:

If my predictions come true, that sets up the following:

CIN@DEN--Denver ranks in the top 5 for almost every stat out there. Need much more to be said?
Denver 37, Cincinnati 16

GB@SF--ohhh what an intriguing match up this would be and great game to watch. I forgot to mention that Green Bay's new RB, Alex Green, showed a LOT of life against a Minnesota D that ranks pretty high against the run. With this new-found run success, Green Bay will beat out Kaep in a close one.
San Francisco 27, Green Bay 30

IND@NWE--the first time these two teams met New England won like 59-24 or something like that. I wouldn't expect anything much different if this happens the second time around.
New England 45, Indianapolis 20

SEA@ATL--Atlanta played to win in their season finale and lost..to Tampa Bay. Ouch. No really like, actually ouch. They injured a couple key starters on defense.
Seattle 31, Atlanta 16

bo_sox, I live in Minnesota so I appreciate you saying AP for MVP :)
I just threw in the idea of a co-MVP to appease the Manning lovers.

Anticipated Conference Championships

NWE@DEN--BRADY vs. MANNING REMATCH!! If this happens, I bet that this game will be more fun to watch than the Super Bowl. I literally just flipped a coin. Broncos=tails because they're at home. Patriots=heads. I got heads.
New England 37, Denver 35

SEA@GB--another two potent offenses going at it. Like the SEA@WAS matchup, I think these offenses are about equal, and the deciding factor will be the defense.
Seattle 27, Green Bay 26

Finally, the Super Bowl. Seattle "motherfucking" Seahawks against the New England Patriots. I'm sorry, but I just cannot see New England losing 2 Super Bowls in a row.
New England 34, Seattle 31 OT.

I only put in OT because I've been wanting for a Super Bowl to go to overtime ever since I started getting into football about 15 years ago xD

Nah, Manning has had a great year, but not better than AP. Honestly, the three best years were AP, Calvin Johnson, and JJ Watt. Peyton's only in the discussion because he's Peyton. The award he deserves something in is the comeback award. They shouldn't make that competitive like the MVP is... they can give it to two.
Celebrimbor2017 (0 DX)
01 Jan 13 UTC
Haha I want AP to get comback player of the year. A RB's career depends soley on his legs. To come back from total knee reconstruction and post up numbers like he did...AP deserves the Comeback Player of the Year more than Manning
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
01 Jan 13 UTC
And a QB's career doesn't revolve around his neck? Peyton had as close to neck reconstruction as you can get without being near paralyzed. I don't have any clue how he is still playing. Honestly, a lot of people around here told him face to face to retire and that it wasn't worth the risk. He was a Hall of Famer five years ago. He didn't want that though, and here he is, proving everyone wrong. That's what that award is supposed to be about.
Celebrimbor2017 (0 DX)
01 Jan 13 UTC
Well,,, a QB needs both his shoulder and neck. Then do you have an argument for AP not getting the Comeback Player?

Never said he shouldn't get it... just said Peyton should.

Last year I predicted 10 of the 11 games correctly (My only miss was I thought the Pats would beat the Giants)

However this year I haven't watched any football at all, and found out from reading this thread just now that the Patriots are 2nd place in the AFC (I thought the Texans took the AFC, but everyone here is saying the Broncos did).

The point is I am out of it and don't want to absolutely fail in guessing, especially given how well I predicted last year.

No it's not. If you were truly prideful you'd do a little research, make picks then claim them to be perfect because of your 10-1 picking record last year. In this case you're just afraid ;P

An All-Male Discussion on Feminism, "Feminism," and Atheism...This Should Be Fun...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKKQdJR7F_I Frankly, I think that's a fair point--these people do NOT represent a very good side of either feminism or atheism, in my opinion...there's Feminism, and then there's "Feminism" or, as it might otherwise be put, "Demanding that everyone agree with your views full stop or else libeling them." Real feminism and real atheism is, I think, being somewhat "poisoned" by this increasingly-smug, self-assured band of PC Police.

CD or hold everything?
I'm in a gunboat at the moment where one of the players - who has no shot at winning anymore - has decided to hold every turn giving SCs to the largest player, in effect throwing the game. I'd prefer if he would just CD so we can get somebody else. Are there any (un)written good practices?
