Actually, that is a good question who will run for the Dems in 2016 with the uncertainty now over whether Hillary will run again or not...Biden has said he wants a shot, but I somehow can't see that happening...Julian Castro had a good showing at the DNC, but may be too young...
As for the Republicans, though, a guarantee--
After they just got BLASTED by that Latino Vote I've been going on about for MONTHS here...
They WILL have Marco Rubio almost certainly involved, either as the Presidential nominee or the VP, or else they'll have some Latino candidate, SOMETHING, they have to realize what a mistake this was...
If Romney had even dented the Latino vote to a greater degree, the margin of victory would've been a lot smaller...
Florida won't matter now, but see how close it is, with Latino support, Romney could have taken it easily...
Ditto Nevada and possibly Virginia.
It was a bad, bad blunder by the GOP to be so anti-immigration and anti-Latino, or at least allow themselves to be perceived as being anti-Latino.
If they're smart, they'll try and fix that problem next time, and the biggest weapon they have on that front is Marco Rubio, so definitely look for him in 2016.
