OK, This HAS To Stop! America...THIS Is Why Your Colleges Are Failing!
Or one reason...jerks like the ones who are 1. Talking in a library on finals 2. Clearly set this girl off and 3. ARE SO SLEAZY AS TO TAPE HER, AND THEN GOAD HER SOME MORE!

WHY let jerks like that who don't want to work into our Cal States U's? They're already impacted! I feel for that Asian girl...

Mine is : antidisestablishmentarionism, a movement to remove the church of england from power, and its sheer length and awesomeness is why I like it!

Always been rather fond of parallelepiped myself, being one of the few words that would break through the tedium of maths lectures and wake me from my dozing. Eldritch and Widdershins rank pretty highly though.

There's floccinaucinihilipilification which is perhaps the most useless word in the English language.

Euouae
Euouae is a mnemonic which was used in medieval music to denote the sequence of tones in the "seculorum Amen" passage of the lesser doxology, Gloria Patri, which ends with the phrase In saecula saeculorum, Amen. In plainchant sources, the differentia, that is, the melodic formula to be sung at the end of every line of chanted psalmody, would be written over either the letters EUOUAE, or merely E----E, representing the first and last vowel of "seculorum Amen."

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, at six letters long, is the longest word in the English language which is made up of nothing but vowels; it is also the English word with the most consecutive vowels.

Onomatopoeia. Why? This joke (as told to me by a girl I fancied. I can still hear her saying it):-

@Diplomat33 - I think I demostrated earlier that 'soooooooo' as in something is soooooooo good' has the most consecutive vowels in the english language. I'm assuming that by English language we can include words in common usage that everyone understands even though only a few may use?
Maniac (184 D(B))

@scmoo 'Over-exaggerating' is great as tautology which covers such words.

Right now you are down and out, and feeling really crappy,
And when I see how sad you are, it sort of makes me happy!

Sorry Nicky human nature, nothing I can do,
that's schadenfreude
Making me feel glad that I'm not you.

My favourite word is 'moist'. It's neither big nor clever, but I don't care

Friday Around The Horn! Sports Fans, Is It Safe To Say...
1. The NHL has leapfrogged the beleaguered NBA as 3rd most popular out of the Big Four Leagues (NFL way in first, MLB in a distant-but-decent 2nd?)
2. The USA's interest in the 2012 World Cup will be higher after the '08 run?
3. The Angels' Pujos/Wilson pickups make them favorites to make the LCS?
4. The Ravens have supplanted the Colts/Patriots/Steelers as the AFC Superteam?

Transferring control of a country
We have a player in our game who is not going to be able to continue because he is too busy with work and just doesn't have time to commit to playing well.

Is there a way for the mods to substitute another account for his, or should we just have someone sit on his account for the remainder of the game?
