I agree with that, King Atom. I could argue that the good name of music was destroyed by disco, but the early 90's was a hell of blow as well, not to mention the recent destruction caused by autotune.

I really wanted to see Wagner in here, but as far as "classical" pieces go, the ones that are on there have already been said.

The early 90s was great. The grunge thing in America, with bands like Nirvana, and over in the UK the had the Manchester sound and the rise of Brit Pop. I love 90s music. And then there was one of my all time favorites, Pavement.

Judging from the music that comes out of my speakers whenever my girlfriend plays her MP3 player in the car, I'm pretty sure some 80+% of her library is 90s music. I wouldn't go searching for most of it on my own, but it's not bad.

And my own favorite album, Megadeth's "Rust in Peace," was released in 1990. I can roll with the 90s.

Oh and the whole Punk Rock and Grunge stuff is partially what ruined music. Yes it was good, but it started the downfall of Rock 'n' Roll. Even in the 80's with Maddonna and that other "Pop" crap, music was beginning to get tarnished.

Yes, there may be a few in the past twenty years, but certainly none of them will ever make the top 100.

Funny that you selected The Monkees' Day Dream Believer... I would have picked "I'm a Believer" as their best song.

If we were going by record sales then Abba, The Eagles and AC/DC would be on the list.

How about Radiohead? Certainly their first three albums are true classics.

Well if you allow solo artists it is hard to go past Bob Dylan or Jimi Hendrix. And if you allow duos, Simon and Garfunkel.
